Kitchandro Posted 22 January 2014 Posted 22 January 2014 Yo-yoing between divisions has no timeframe, it simply means at some point we'll go up and at some point we'll come back down again. Rinse and repeat. It doesn't have to be in consecutive seasons. Historically, we go up, we come back down, we go back up, we come back down. Sounds like a yo-yo to me You could say that about all but about 5 teams in English football then.
MC Prussian Posted 22 January 2014 Posted 22 January 2014 You could say that about all but about 5 teams in English football then. There's surely more than five teams in English football who've succeeded in staying in the Premiership for more than three to four consecutive seasons in the past twenty years. Again, it depends how short your stay in the top flight is before you consider it to be the upscale of the yo-yo movement.
Dan Posted 22 January 2014 Posted 22 January 2014 I've just read seenitall defending Chelsea's policy. Incredible. It's held them back from being one of the genuine top sides. It's the money that's progressed them, their policy has stopped it progressing further. Complete and utter short-termist. Explains fully why we often clash and will do so in future.
seenitall Posted 22 January 2014 Posted 22 January 2014 Ahhh - we are all sensitive - I don't even like sharing what I consider my club with fellow fans (especially when they say daft things) - always a laugh to hear that you are not a fan from someone who has been to about 7 games and thinks promotion from Div 3 was the pinnacle of the clubs success - BTW I didn't choose to support City, it chose me, partly as a family thing and partly by accident of birth, so shaking it off is not as easy as sometimes I would have liked. For the record (and even I have been wrong about a couple of these) I liked as manager St Martin, Brian Little, Jock Wallace, Adams, Sven, Olly and NP first time round and didn't really get on with all the others (was too young to appreciate Bloomfield really, and were managers as important/up there own arses in those days?) with particular dislike for the obvious Taylor, McClintock (the first one I really remember) and Pleat. Milne was OK but too vanilla, it like Nige now - you can't really dislike him even i you try, but , last 6 games excepted, Go its boring

Had to be something I suppose, so the unquantifiable entertainment value comes in. Don't suppose you have a photo of yourself sleeping through the Fulham game do you? God that was tedious...

foxes_rule1978 Posted 22 January 2014 Posted 22 January 2014 What is your problem Seenitall? we are on a fabulous run playing some lovely football. Do you only ever get excited when we are losing so it proves Pearson is only average.

Looks like WUM to me! The translation came back as: I'm clearly a miserable c**t who so far this season has been proved wrong on 99.9% of my opinions! But i will say anything i think i can get away with to try and get out of it! Heaven forbid i should admit i was wrong! Unfortunately it looks like i'm just digging myself into a deeper hole, but never mind i'll try again........................................... Boring! That's the problem, its not that he's a bad manager like i said before its that he's boring! Looks like i was right! Chuffed coz i'm usually rubbish at languages!
