seenitall Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Four and a half seasons of stuttering play off place tripe followed by 6 good wins doesn't make you Ferguson but it at least gives the people who have said he is great throughout this period a brief period to be right (bit like a stopped clock being righ t twice a day) I am glad Nige apears to have finally learnt how to manage a football team, just sad we had to be the team he did his apprenticeship at, losing four seasons in the process....lets pray for no collapse, it didn't look all that to me today and our two best players are still Nugent and Kasper, the only two today who looked capable of playing in the top flight
seenitall Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 You do know that we signed Kevin Phillips and that he provided the assist that led to Nugent's goal...? Also blatantly ignoring that Nugent was pretty much anonymous for most part today. But well done to you, seenitall, for at least once acknowledging that we're doing well. Still, it would be about time you dropped your tinted Sven glasses. It was fun while it lasted and I enjoyed it, too. This season, however, is about getting together and supporting a successful manager and the team that we all love leading the chase for promotion. Now - shush, back to your cave. No need to be nasty, I was invited to this threadPS - if completely missing the ball is now called an assist the game is changing
Stuliasz Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 play off place tripe There is such an undercurrent of "i can't wait for Pearson to f**k it up so I can tell everyone 'I told you so'" in your posts, even if you do try to hide it with comments like "lets pray for no collapse".

God no, please don't let him f**k it up, we'll never get rid of him if we don't get promoted
MC Prussian Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 No need to be nasty, I was invited to this thread PS - if completely missing the ball is now called an assist the game is changing Funny you play the "don't hurt me" card so easily and so early on already again. Typical. Don't be so touchy, it's like you're made out of glass - for all we know, Phillips was instrumental in clearing up space up front, allowing Nugent to slot in from close range. And as for comparing Pearson to Alex Ferguson - good one, that. Please come back to this place when you have any more reasonable comparisons to offer.

He's had about 4 seasons - winning a first title in 29 years in the process. 09/10 we were back up, mid-table would have been a success. 11/12 he took a poor, unbalanced sven side to within a small margin of the play-offs - only last season was really an underachievement. For all your worship of sven and criticism of Nige, we've never finished outside of the top 6 when he's had a full season in charge - sven meanwhile never got us in the play-off places at all

I wouldn't take him overly serious. If he is as bitter in real life as he is online, anyone would want to steer clear of that grumpy old knapsack.

This is why you get the kind of shit that seems to bother you so much. It's more than six good wins. It's 26 games into a 46 game season where we have a clear lead at the top of the division having taken 13 points from a possible 18 from the five other teams in the top six.
MC Prussian Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 ?? To be fair, that's what most of us are asking ourselves when looking at the majority of your posts.
Oxfordfox83 Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Weey! The old crowd's back together. Nothing like a bit of seenitall almost apologising for being wrong. (Not that he is obviously, this is all an illusion). What are your thoughts on Vardy this year?
Harry - LCFC Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 God no, please don't let him f**k it up, we'll never get rid of him if we don't get promoted Woah, hold on a second. Even now you're saying one of your primary concerns is still getting rid of the manager. Promotion to you is just as much a means of having him removed (somehow) as it is an an achievement in itself.
deanolegend1989 Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 I dont get why everyone is getting so upset by this seenitall's comments. Its clear from his comments that hes either trolling, doesnt support leicester or knows f all about football. I wouldnt take it too seriously. You cant reason with an idiot so just take no notice and be glad hes not our manager because we'd be liquidated.
Monsell1976 Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 I have my opinions about how the club has been managed in the past, but I cannot be bothered to go through old ground again, it's all in the past now and cannot be changed. What does matter is what happens now, and all that matters is we keep what has been a great season going, and get the job done. If we get promoted the last few years become irrelevant, as Pearson would have achieved success, he would just have fell at the final hurdle a few times but got there in the end.
foxfanazer Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Don't know why people get so irate about a few miserable fookers that want Pearson gone at the expense of us succeeding. Let them get on with it
demon_dog Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 I'll be honest enough to say it looking like I may have got it wrong. I stated at the beginning of the season that I did not believe that N.P. was a good enough manager to get us promoted. Last season we had that awful collapse in Feb and March, we were a team performing like a team facing relegation! Pearson did not seem to have any answers. His substitutions, tactics and lack of a plan B were questionable. I do sincerely believe that during the summer he took a long hard look at himself and realised what errors he had made during our bad times. For that I applaud him. He has now shown to me that he can and does learn from his mistakes. It takes a big man to do that. I do believe that as Feb, March approach us that we will not fall by the wayside as we did last season. I do now think that under N.P. that we possibly will be promoted and as champions. (I do mean possibly as there is still a long way to go.) I can see that we are now playing the best football a Leicester side have played for a long time. It's all down to the manager. You can now call me a N.P. convert.
Thracian Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 No need to be nasty, I was invited to this thread PS - if completely missing the ball is now called an assist the game is changing Irrespective of official definitions, that was as clear an assist as you'll ever see and exactly what Phillips can bring to the team both as a player and coach.
foxfanazer Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 If Forest, Derby, Qpr and Burnley fans can admit that we are a class above and real promotion candidates but some of our 'fans' can't then they are the ones missing out imo
MANFACE Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 All I can say is we are playing well. Just recently with hard away fixtures , I thought we'd struggle to get a draw. But, we are a team on form.
One Arm Babba Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Considering the form we are in and the form we have shown throughout the first half of the season, it will take a monumental collapse (that is impossible to rule out) Fact is with 20 games to play we are on 57 points. 90 points is usually enough so if we win 10 of the remaining 20 we will be there or there abouts. I think 10 wins out of those games is very achievable. The fact that we play next Saturday and our nearer rivals do not, meals we could have a 9pt gap to third next Saturday at 5pm. I fancy us to do it in style and break the 100 point barrier. COYB
