Get it infront of him now Thais! He's going nowhere, he's started something here, he likes being here and he'd fight a pack of wild dogs to make sure he's here next year.

Finnaldo Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 The story by the Soldier in Afghanistan. What legends (Pearson and the soldier)
TrentFox Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 It possibly works in his favour as manager NOT to have one. He knows the score, I've no doubt. He will have had it all clarified. But if he signs one then how can he look players in the eye that haven't been offered one ? And he almost certainly knows some need replacing in the summer for a PL campaign - probably even knows who he wants to replace them. But for now, keepin a feeling of "we're all on it together" is probably working in his favour ??
Merging Cultures Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 How do we know he hasn't been offered one and turned it down? He could be the one negotiating hard and waiting for promotion to be secured.
Lionator Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 The story by the Soldier in Afghanistan. What legends (Pearson and the soldier) What's the story, I must've missed it?
Unabomber Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 What's the story, I must've missed it? A solider who is currently serving in Afghanistan (and who is a lcfc fan) wrote a letter to Nige praising him and the team. Nige personally wrote a letter back thanking the fan for his support and wishing him well in his services, aswell as all the shirts signed and numerous programmes.
Guest Col city fan Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 How do we know he hasn't been offered one and turned it down? He could be the one negotiating hard and waiting for promotion to be secured. I think this is probably right. City has to be right for Pearson longer-term, as Pearson has been right for City. The clever bloke would win the league and then see what the club would offer him, to stay, and in terms of a transfer and wage kitty.
Deucalion Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 Wasn't Pearson offered the same contract as Sven? In which case, according to Sven, it was 2 years + an option for the club on another 2. Morgan didn't seem to have any choice on the extra year, it could be a similar situation with Pearson.
