Where has flowwolf gone, who predicted about 40 people would renew their season tickets and even they would drift away after 5 games?

I think they have all drifted back to Bentleys roof to keep telling themselves we are top despite Pearson and not because of him.

What on earth does that have to do with posters starting threads which basically amount to a self-congratulatory 'I told you so' - how does that in any way right the wrongs of last season? I agree with you, some stuff was said that was ridiuclous at the time and I back Pearson to the hilt and repeatedly engaged in debate with nearly all of those who slagged him off. Now the trolls and idiots like Seenitall have cleared off, that should be the end of it. The only reason for these threads is to dredge it all up again and prove that 'yeah, we were right all along, how great are we!', when surely the mature and adult thing to do is to leave the past in the past and just enjoy the present.

As for the stuff you've highlighted in my post - yes, I'm sure poeple are enjoying this season, but I know I'd certainly enjoy posting on this message board a lot more if this childish bullshit would stop. The posts this season where people are rubbing their hands saying stuff like 'I can't wait till the end of the season so I can find some old posts where some people said we should sack Pearson and rub their noses in it' are just as boring, tedious and pathetic to me as the ones which would pop up every time we lost a game last season saying 'sack coco the white-trainered, tactically-inept, badger-faced twat' etc.

Also, it might not be detracting from our season for you, but personally every time I log on here and see a thread like this, it just pisses me off. Do we really not have better things to talk about? And if people feel so personally about some of the stuff that was said last season that they feel the need to respond in kind, it just makes them as sad and boring as the people they're attacking with self-righteous threads like these. I was as vociferous as anyone on here in my defence of Pearson last season in threads calling for him to be sacked, but you don't see me starting threads like this now. Why? Because it just comes across as petty to me.

Absolutely spot on..

Anti Pearson posters in we don't want old opinions talked about shocker.

Think we all know why.

I have no problem with anyone gloating, we knew the score and knew exactly what Nigel was building, young, hungry and talented players gelling.

It's a great time to be a city fan.

I did wonder if we should have gambled and got someone else in, after all our form was awful, but at the end of the day the owners were happy with the ethos within the club and their patience has (touch wood) paid off. One think I like about Pearson is the fact he's never taken a club backwards.

Well quickly, before the ban sets in - what is not to love - after 3 dismal seasons we finally seem to be going somewhere. I'll never change my opinion that it all could have been achieved a lot quicker but I guess if we make it this year (and I do believe we will) then it will sort of have been worth 10 years of shite......

Interesting to see even Nige himself alluding to us being a crock last season, particularly after the Barnsley game and whatever happened in the close season this year, he has been a different man. I like him about as much as I did in the League One season at the moment and it is great to see him turn his doubters around....

Being called an idiot by a sycophant like Rich still pisses me off though

Well I see your retort as responding to a personal attack, so I would doubt you'd be banned personally! And on NP and team, good to hear your comments, as credit where credits due

One sure way to kill a forum off .... berate anyone discussing what they saw at the time, with the benefit of hindsight, and go on about how right you are .....

I'm loving the football and I'm loving NP2.0, the only cloud on the silver lining is the "told you so" brigade that ruin FT.

Yes. Yes. Yes. If i could give more than a plus 1 I would.

Wait a minute.  You cant have it both ways.  Yes it would be better to not have anyone do the I told you so!! But you of all people who made outrageous statements about NP and anyone supporting him and his tactics.  It is not about forum killing at all.  You and a number of others were guilty of worse during the time we are talking about.

You were a told you so type in the negative times.  Shoe on other foot doesn't fit very well does it.  You are noticeably absent in the discussions of the positive and post match discussions.  It seems most of those who are/were anti Pearson are very quite.  That suggest to many that you are waiting for things to go bad and then come back and start your own told you so threads.

I hope that is not the case!!

I apologise if you no longer have anything to do with the board.

This is a football board, of course it is going to be full of snide comments about both manager and players at times when we've played poorly.

I just don't think there's a need for snide comments about other posters when it's in a match winning thread.

As you aren't admin anymore then those comments aren't quite as bad as I felt they were.

Doesn't change the fact that there's no need for them at the moment.

Have you read what you said about other posters and their posts when they were supporting NP.  Pot calling the you know what isn't it!!

These pro our team posts are just that.  No one is trying to control what people say on forums.  Just have some perspective.  i will say that that it seems those who were wanting NP sacked were more vicious and aggressive in  their views and not supportive of the team at all.  It seems that the negative told you so group are more happy when the team is losing to feel justified in their I told you so view.

Most of us happy clappers, just want our fans being supportive of our team.  Discussion should be just that, not sack the manager I know better views.

Criticism at times are more than valid.  But done with the support of team clear, rather than just being a BITCH.

Really?? I'd say I was posting fairly regularly.

Also I was never a "told you so" .... I am only ever a "in my opinion" poster ..... and my opinion was that NP wasn't the man last season ..... I have obviously completely changed my mind now and think he's nothing short of brilliant. His change in style of play has been nothing short of sensational.

As to the Gary Lineker statement i totally disagree with that its less a formation problem more of a our player aint good enough problem.

If the Man u's man citys and leicester city's of the world do good with it, why cant England? the fact is the player aint good enough for there competion they're in.

Hits the nail on the head, if you are fitter and better organised than the opponents then 4-4-2 will work very well. Where the commitment/talent level drops below the level of the opposition then tactical nous can make a big contribution towards stealing the points and that's unlikely to be 4-4-2 for the weaker team.

Will be fascinating (if/when) we go up to see how we set up when on paper we are the weaker team in the majority of our fixtures.

Another point, credit to NP for adding a dash of creativity to this 4-4-2 recipe. Quite often we are seeing our players adapt their positions during games which is tricky for the opponents to deal with.

Yeah, one of the more ridiculous viewpoints. It's what proves the point that their opinion is coloured by their dislike of the man. Most of the anti-Pearson posters from last season have changed their opinion based on the evidence of this season and fair play to them, but to stubbornly keep hold of the same opinion despite being top and breaking club records shows their views for what they are.

They'll all be back as soon as we have another dodgy period, guaranteed.
