Manwell Pablo Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 Just to explain as you will do anything to misunderstand .... Plan A is now very very clear and is implemented each week. When not in possession close down quick all over the pitch, don't let any opposition player have any time at all on the ball. Push high up the pitch and be relentless. When in possession keep it, play it short, make space, move the ball around and be patient, overlapping full backs etc etc.... The tools at his disposal last season meant that this sometimes worked for 10 minutes here and there, but that the squad wasn't deep enough to ever be able to play 90 minutes week in week out playing it. Therefore plan B was necessary. Now, he has the squad and the players beyond the first 6-7 to play this style constantly ..... so plan B is to keep playing plan A but if it's not working with the players on the pitch then change them for players that can step in and make a difference. There are also some different style players on the bench .... KP with his guile and experience, and Was at the other end with his experience and brute force. You keep making out that you were right .... I'll recognise that NP has improved himself and his squad and is doing a fabulous job. Who's the Pearson bummer now??? You guys are too busy saying I told you so than to actually recognise the guys achievements. , The squads near enough the same as last season you massive donut!
MC Prussian Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 The last post I started, which was such fun has been deleted. I am now barred from starting new posts. So much for freedom of speech. I enjoy banter, I am inclined in response to personal assignations from those who disagree with me to sometimes question their intelligence, but I never get more personal than that. I never refer to people as cvnts as has happened to me today, but I do enjoy a 'wind up' every now and then. Today has been good fun, but I do object in the strongest possible terms to being blocked. Should've been more obvious.
Babylon Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 Should have bought the Gran Centanario Reserva instead... same shit, different bottle, 1/4 the price.

5waller5 Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 Well, it's clearly you who has an issue with memory et al. As you just stated a few posts further above. In England we practice a style of humour known as sarcasm.

Strokes Posted 7 February 2014 Posted 7 February 2014 Another thing that amuses me is that no one cares Pearson doesn't have a plan B anymore To be honest, that was my main critisism of him last season and I do think he has addressed it. He has shown flexibility in tactics, which has led to us not being predictable.
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 February 2014 Posted 7 February 2014 To be honest, that was my main critisism of him last season and I do think he has addressed it. He has shown flexibility in tactics, which has led to us not being predictable. I don't. Ignoring a little messing around with wingbacks at the start of the season he has had Plan A, a rigid 4-4-2 system designed to accommodate short quick passing mainly attacking from wide positions using Dyer Da Laet Knockaert and the two strikers, the same flat back four with Da Laet given more attacking duties than Konch. He normally takes off a winger and a striker around 65-80 and takes off one of the midfielders a little later, who comes on is normally to fit how the game is going but it certainly doesn't qualify as a "plan B" it's a minor alteration to the system we're already playing, plan b isn't bringing on subs to change a game that's basic football management and something we did last season, it just didn't work as well. We're horribly predictable, but knowing what we're going to do doesn't mean other teams can stop us doing it. You don't need a plan B when plan A wins you games most weeks.
AnotherShitSeason Posted 7 February 2014 Posted 7 February 2014 Should have bought the Gran Centanario Reserva instead... same shit, different bottle, 1/4 the price. Couldn't possibly. The indignity of it!
