queensguardfox Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 At the start of last season and this season, there where 100's of post saying Pearson is wrong to use 4-4-2. I'm sure he's being using this in our run of 9 games? So where are all the football manager gamer qualified gurus now?
bluesbrothers Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 Glued to FM14, guiding Accrington Stanley to the Champions League with a 3-2-5 formation, no doubt. Ade Akinfenwa top scorer with 83 goals from midfield, while Conrad Logan plays up front.

Babylon Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 Lets save these until the end of the season... we can have as much fun as we want then.
svensson Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 Lets save these until the end of the season... we can have as much fun as we want then. Can't wait. I do hope naming and shaming is part of the plan....
ousefox Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 It's funny how everyone was saying 442 was outdated especially for the top teams (remember Lineker criticising Woy for it with England) and now Man City are absolutely storming with it and are being touted as the best team in the world.
Happy Fox Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 We don't really play a conventional 4-4-2 though do we...

indierich06 Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 These gloating threads are getting as predictable and tedious as the ones from the regular doom and gloom merchants last season. We're doing well - we're not at the finish line yet, but things are looking good - why can't we all enjoy this season rather than taking petty pot shots at eachother? This tit-for-tat nonsense is detracting from what should be a great time for Leicester City. Who cares what people were banging on about last season? Be the bigger person and just forget it - hopefully we can drop all this stupid 'I was right and you were wrong' nonsense from now on and actually unite as fans, y'know, like we all support the same team for a change?
5waller5 Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 One sure way to kill a forum off .... berate anyone discussing what they saw at the time, with the benefit of hindsight, and go on about how right you are ..... I'm loving the football and I'm loving NP2.0, the only cloud on the silver lining is the "told you so" brigade that ruin FT. Yes. Yes. Yes. If i could give more than a plus 1 I would.
ty fox Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 I might just leave names off and put up the quotes, temptation might get the better of me though.i will give my name forward believing we had been "found out" playing 442 what a fool I was we are playing excellent football it's amazing and I'm so glad i got it wrong
Silverdaz Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 We don't really play a conventional 4-4-2 though do we... Yes we play more of a 4-4-1-1 with Nugent playing in the hole
Fox92 Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 We do keep having loads of these threads. While the moaning at the start of the season was annoying, everybody has their own opinion. I've always personally believed in Nigel, and at the minute enjoying we're top of the league while taking one game at a time.
artursteppe Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 At the start of last season and this season, there where 100's of post saying Pearson is wrong to use 4-4-2. I'm sure he's being using this in our run of 9 games? So where are all the football manager gamer qualified gurus now? You choose to over simplify. As everyone knows, Lloyd is having his best ever season in his whole career, which includes a far more consistent approach to defensive duties, and Knocky is a revelation this season. He could be the hardest worker in the side. That, with the ever increasing work load taken on by Nuge and Vardy is what is making the 4-4-2 system work in a way it never has in the past. Furthermore our manager now understands that the best centre midfield pairing is Drinky and James. You cannot be serious if you do not understand those fundamental improvements on what we had to put up with in the early part of 2013.
bovril Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 God how dull would life be if everyone refrained from having an opinion for fear of having it dragged up later by the 'told you so' brigade?

I do to a point but not going to take shots at people. All I will say is that it's a fvcking good job our owners did not listen to some on here and sack NP. Where the fvck would we be now if they had? Stick to FM14 kids.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 I made one saying he was tactically wrong at charlton when he opted for the 5-3-2 and left knockaert, dyer and Wood (had just scored a hattrick) on the bench. Was that wrong?

We're doing well - we're not at the finish line yet, but things are looking good - why can't we all enjoy this season rather than taking petty pot shots at each other? Who says people aren't enjoying it? This tit-for-tat nonsense is detracting from what should be a great time for Leicester City. No it's not. Who cares what people were banging on about last season? Some people obviously. Be the bigger person and just forget it - hopefully we can drop all this stupid 'I was right and you were wrong' nonsense from now on and actually unite as fans, y'know, like we all support the same team for a change? Pearson got slated, not just as a manager but as a person on here. I'm sure he won't forget the abuse he got, just as O'Neill didn't when he sent letters back to everyone who had written to him slating him. There was a lot of stuff well out of order, above and beyond saying he was tactically wrong with 442.
RoxumJD Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 The real question is where's the Pearson got it tactically spot on posts! Everyone was quick to come out and slate Pearson when things weren't going our way. Now they are, he definitely doesn't get enough praise for it! Not that it would particularly matter to him but he deserves it and we should be singing his praises every week and making him aware of it! Not enough NP songs at home games for me.

This is FoxesTalk, where tit for tat and derision are the norm, a bit like an online prime ministers questions time XD

There was a lot of stuff well out of order, above and beyond saying he was tactically wrong with 442. What on earth does that have to do with posters starting threads which basically amount to a self-congratulatory 'I told you so' - how does that in any way right the wrongs of last season? I agree with you, some stuff was said that was ridiuclous at the time and I back Pearson to the hilt and repeatedly engaged in debate with nearly all of those who slagged him off. Now the trolls and idiots like Seenitall have cleared off, that should be the end of it. The only reason for these threads is to dredge it all up again and prove that 'yeah, we were right all along, how great are we!', when surely the mature and adult thing to do is to leave the past in the past and just enjoy the present. As for the stuff you've highlighted in my post - yes, I'm sure poeple are enjoying this season, but I know I'd certainly enjoy posting on this message board a lot more if this childish bullshit would stop. The posts this season where people are rubbing their hands saying stuff like 'I can't wait till the end of the season so I can find some old posts where some people said we should sack Pearson and rub their noses in it' are just as boring, tedious and pathetic to me as the ones which would pop up every time we lost a game last season saying 'sack coco the white-trainered, tactically-inept, badger-faced twat' etc. Also, it might not be detracting from our season for you, but personally every time I log on here and see a thread like this, it just pisses me off. Do we really not have better things to talk about? And if people feel so personally about some of the stuff that was said last season that they feel the need to respond in kind, it just makes them as sad and boring as the people they're attacking with self-righteous threads like these. I was as vociferous as anyone on here in my defence of Pearson last season in threads calling for him to be sacked, but you don't see me starting threads like this now. Why? Because it just comes across as petty to me.
MattGamble92 Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 Remember when people started criticising Sven'a 4-3-3 the moment it went sour? Suddenly he was trying to play an international formation in an English league and we needed 4-4-2. Then suddenly Pearson's 4-4-2 became outdated as soon as we went on 'that run'. The problem both times around was more to do with teams becoming too physical for us

I agree tbh but I was saying same thing as u when the negatives were out on here, that we should be positive & back Nige and the lads but people still were being negative-.- but yh we should all forget it now and enjoy the ride, end of the day we're Leicester City so there's plenty of ups and downs to come one thing I am certain of & have been since his return is Nigel is right man for the job building a hungry squad, we're almost there lets fill the KP Sat & keep this run going:-) up the city!!
