Donut Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 No. Well, maybe as a one time thing, but not regularly. Especially as I could watch it on TV. Devils advocate, but for anyone who says sky tv has ruined the game, they cant turn round and say theyll watch games on tv, youre just fuelling the machine
Hugo Sanchez Posted 4 February 2014 Author Posted 4 February 2014 Devils advocate, but for anyone who says sky tv has ruined the game, they cant turn round and say theyll watch games on tv, youre just fuelling the machine ITV ??? But I believe BT have got all the champions league games now.
Donut Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 ITV ??? But I believe BT have got all the champions league games now. Well, youll need some kind of cable subscription to watch on BT sport then. I was just making a point though that people complain about sky ruining the game. But in reality, sky have probably MADE the game
Kitchandro Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Devils advocate, but for anyone who says sky tv has ruined the game, they cant turn round and say theyll watch games on tv, youre just fuelling the machine I've never said TV has solely ruined the game, a lot of factors have. If you pay £77 you fuel an even worse machine. But I wouldn't blame anyone who did it because that's stupidly judgemental.
Bert Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 I've always wondered how the United die hard fans manage to go to every away Champions League game, because there are some who don't miss a game.. Like how do they find the money, the time off from work and what not. You'd think they just use up their holiday quota from the year for them. Great support mind.

Wasnt referring specifically to you Kitch, was just using your post that talked about TV to show people cant have your cake and eat it
AKCJ Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Without a doubt. I know its a stupid amount, but could you ever look at yourself in the mirror again knowing you passed up an opportunity like that?
Uncle Albert Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 You'd think they just use up their holiday quota from the year for them. Great support mind. My Uncle didn't miss a Chelsea home or away game in 04/05, cost him an arm and a leg, he was single at the time and had to make some big sacrifices, Moscow in November wasn't a highlight he always reminds me!

Of course it helps if you're single too. My best mate went Rome when the United fans got battered over there. The only time he'd been to a United away (he was a season ticket holder though) his match ticket cost him 14 euros. The whole trip cost him about £300. All the way to the final not missing a game you're looking at around £4-£5k I would say. A lot of money for 6 home and 7 away games. On another note, he said he absolutely shit it when the police came with their riot gear
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 If i've spent over a 1000 pounds for my flight alone whats another 77.
RonnieTodger Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 I think I would and just make a trip of it. Let's be honest, it would be a once in a lifetime opportunity. It could even happen in a few years! Messi v Morgan.
SystonFox Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Got in the champions league. Would you pay the £77 quid that their charging Man City fans. Plus their no kids prices either. You think, if we ever did get in the champions league ( not holding my breath ) How much would our wonderful owners charge us ? Would you pay over £60 to watch us play in the champions league every season ? Yes I would. I went to the camp nou last season and witnessed Barca (2nd string) tear apart Mallorca 5-0. Fabregas hat trick, Alexis with two. I paid €72 for my ticket. Would I pay it again? I'd pay 10 times that to see Leicester away at that beautiful stadium in that beautiful city. What a stupid question
Father Ted Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 If any Leicester fans answers no to this then they really need their heads checking. Barcelona away... Champions League. I don't think anybody would reject that opportunity.
leicesterisme Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 I'd pay it, no question. To see us away in Europe is a dream.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 5 February 2014 Author Posted 5 February 2014 Yeah but what about if we were in the champions league every season ?? The novelty would wear off. Chelsea have played their a few times. So it becomes less a dream match. Yeah but what about if we were in the champions league every season ?? The novelty would wear off. AdamN Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 For an away tie, probably yes. I'd already have forked out for flights, accommodation and spending money anyway, so if I'm willing to pay for all that then I'm not sure the price of the match ticket would be much of an issue. Plus, I think I'd probably be kicking myself ten years down the line if I missed out on such a huge European fixture for the sake of an extra 30/40 quid.
AndWhat? Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 Would prefer PAOK or Besiktas away personally.
