Third time Iv seen him play and he's looked decent each time. If James had managed to slide that ball accross the goal at the end Mahrez would have been the match winner and everybody would be knocking one out over him right now. Typical foxestalk.

He put one on a plate for Nugent to miss in what would have been a tidy assist. Looks promising to me, and Pearson wouldn't be giving him a chance if he didn't think he can make an impact. Good write up on him here: http://frenchfootballweekly.com/2014/01/16/leicester-citys-new-cub-algerian-di-maria-riyad-mahrez/

This.  He touched the ball for the first time, dribbled and beat a defender or two, then created a scoring chance.  Good stuff!

In other games he has looked to have a good touch and has looked composed.  Yesterday I thought it would show whether he had a different side to his game, as we were under pressure to get an equaliser and Watford were challenging for everything.

He did not seem to have the same impact yesterday and often seemed to get bullied off the ball.  Hence lightweight.

But...plenty of time for him to improve and get used to the English game.

I suppose I should bow to your superior knowledge though Marshall for England, I'm sure you're not one to get carried away by a player's potential !!   lol

Touche. Made me lol

He turned out pretty good I'd say...

Doubt any of us dared have the sort of optimism to imagine all that happening with us even when we were winning the Championship!

Yesterday he reminded me of Hossein Kaebi.  This isn't a terrible thing though, as that lad had lots of skill and talent but was under a lot of pressure to adapt to English football quickly.

I think Mahrez will have a couple of decent cameos before this season is over though.

But I don't think he is ready to fill Dyer's boots just yet.

4 years on, the jury is still out whether Mahrez hit the heights of Hossein ‘the wizard’ kaebi. Good call by Deucalion.

To be fair, there’s probably a thread about how good Joe Mattock could be come knocking about somewhere...

What a journey. For us all. The most incredible 5/6 years imaginable - basically from Watford Day onwards. I saw his debut and he looked to have something even in that brief cameo but who would have believed what has come since. I'd have taken 3/4 years of prem survival and instead we've seen the impossible.
