Tough one, the whole squad was fantastic today.

However had to give it James for his awareness and eagerness to attack himself, and break down attacks.

If you watch him he is so aware of who is around him and where to make his next move.

Matty James, won EVERYTHING.

Must admit I voted for Vardy, but Matty James is having an immense season. He does all those 'bits' that you need someone to do, that pulls the whole team together.

I have voted exactly the same, and agree with you regards Matty James, he Matty was the type of midfielder we lacked last season.

Vardy by miles

Anyone who chooses otherwise is trying to look different! He was outstanding

Look at me, I voted for Matty James. I'm so edgy.

You have a vendetta against Vardy, because he's not Waghorn ;)

True.

I didn't defend Vardy at all last year. Hate him.

Bert will tell you about my vendetta against the guy if asked.

Sorry I just find the, 'huh you bum Waghorn even though he's shit lol' jokes in your repertoire a little stale.

I'm 31. I'd certainly never use a phrase such as 'bum Waghorn' . It was just a bit of banter. Chill

I'm the same. I voted Vardy because I think he's the main difference between us rolling sides over like Ipswich and us getting bogged down and only taking a point from them. The first three or four decisions went against him yesterday but his head didn't go down, he gets the breakthrough in the same fashion, and we end up walking it.

But I do agree though, James is on phenomenal form at the moment. He really impressed me at Forest (and it's not the first time I've seen him do it this season) where, when we went behind, he'd pick the ball up, put his foot on it, play a simple pass and do a 'calm down' gesture to the others. The guy's only 22 but he comes across as a natural leader. It can't have been easy for the lads falling behind at the City Ground and most teams would crumble then. It's having players with the head of Matty James in the middle of the park which gets you out of those situations.

Vardy has incredible energy. I cant remember a city striker in the past that covered so much ground in a game and with such pace. Heskey had the pace but nowhere near his work rate. MOM without doubt yesterday with the other 10 a close 2nd.

Did anybody else think that Ipswich were extremely dull? Which served for a lack lustre atmosphere. I dont think i have seen a worse team at the kp all season.

Vardy.

He started last season really well then tailed off, started this one in a similar vein yet he carried on and got even better.

It wasnt just Vardy's pace and energy, what, stood out most was his ability to read the game and anticipate what Ipswich were about to do. The way he anticipated the back pass for the first goal just summed it all up, a goal from nothing!
