Infact on the 29th January I enquired about odds of this with Mark Jarvis and the reply I had said they were offering 33/1 to remain unbeaten and 25/1 to reach 100 points. I think they told me the week before this they were offering 100/1 on us remaining unbeaten. So I can almost guarantee East Midlands Today have got that price wrong. Infact knowing that information a quick search of 'Leicester to remain unbeaten - Mark Jarvis' would take you to Mark Jarvis' Twitter and tell you; Mark Jarvis â€@Markjarvisbet Feb 24 #LCFC unbeaten run to continue to the end of the season ? In Shop Price 9/1 #Value #Local #Bookies 9/1 is probably the best price you'll find infact, the only other bookmakers I could find offering odds on this Market are BetVictor who are 8/1 (Also did I read earlier in the thread SkyBet are offering 9/1?) I didn't bother with the 33/1 when offered it, if it was still 33/1 I probably would be tempted with £5, certainly not tempted at all at 9/1 though. For anyone interested Mark Jarvis are offering 7/1 to reach 100 points, not really tempted by that either tbh.

Am I wrong here at all? I know it wouldn't work like that at all but in theory surely?

Guest MattP Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 Would love to see us pull this off but with Wigan, Burnley and Reading away to come surely we'll lose one by the law of averages. Not to mention once we are up it's natural the foot does come off the gas and those final games at the end of the season usually go the way of a side fighting for something rather than one whose season is over. Wouldn't be backing at 9/1, I'd be happy being sat on it at 33's mind. I'm sure we can all agree on one thing, it was certainly better odds than us to go down at 40/1. #bootsonfire

Our current unbeaten record stands at 23 games and was set in the League One season, we'd have to go 26 games unbeaten in the league to make it till the end of the season. As MattP rightly says; we face a resurgent Wigan, visit a Burnley side that have the only unbeaten home record in the division, travel to the Madejski where we are perpetually poor and have the possibility of a handful of dead rubbers towards the end of the season. A fringe Leicester City squad with nothing to play for travelling to Huddersfield and Bolton is far from unbeatable after all.

We'll probably come out with nothing But if it came off I pretty much guarantee you'd be leaving with more than £170.

I think to say we will remain unbeaten for the remainder of the season isnt to farfetched. We haven't drawn many games, and the games we have drawn were worth a point. Add to the fact we just look absolutely immense and miles better than anybody, we just look like we're improving by the game. That's why we're given shit odds by the bookies for this imo. However I do agree that if we are promoted/champions with a fair few games to go (which I think we will be if this form continues!) I can understand us relaxing in games and simply being there for the taking.

I still think a Donny team fighting for its life could well turn us over if we take our eye off the ball, they've already beaten us once this season don't forget. Also Reading, QPR and Bolton, could all come after we seal promotion all of them will be playing for something, whilst we may lose a bit of focus by then. Either way those odds are dire.
