On a serious note, I think that things are about to get hectic. That overdue 'economic collapse' will probably be orchestrated somewhere along this Ukranian road and blamed on some made up baloney, when it was meant/destined to happen all along.

You can't really shoot a couple of choppers down and get away with calling it a bit of protesting.

Let's be honest, this is now a genuine civil war.

I wonder what Ken thinks about the homeless in Ukraine in this situation!!!

I heard that at least half of Ukranians wanted nothing to do with the EU. That's probably one of the reasons why the coup to get rid of the democratically elected govt happened in the first place. Only way they could guarantee to force the Ukraine in.

What a horrible mess.

The EU and the US who goaded on and fed information these street protestors to overthrown a democratic government have blood on their hands.

They could have waited a year until a free and fair election could have decided the countries future but then they might not have got the answer they wanted. It was incredible and how they had the gall to do I have no idea.

Is a possible civil war and a two-nation solution what the US and EU really want out of Ukraine? Because that's exactly what they're gonna get. Either we ****ed up badly or we want our own West Ukraine because I can't else explain how the West can topple the Ukrainian government with such an easy coup yet leave our new boy "Yats" completely out to dry in the Eastern regions.

The sanctions are embarrassing. Hell, I've been embarrassed. The West can win an "economic war" with Russia but this is just a joke. Come on, Obama; if this stuff is really working, you gotta do a better job of letting me know because nevermind Putin, I got people like MattP making me look like a fool on FoxesTalk!

If the real endgame here is different, then the US and EU need to change the narrative quickly. If they really mean what they say about Russian troops in Eastern Europe then I'm afraid that's too little, too late. And we should never have to "reassure" other NATO members (i.e. the Baltic states) that we're not gonna let Russia violate their sovereignty.

I feel awful for Ukrainians and I know there is zero chance of a fair election (or any election) on May 25, and that the future of their nation is now entirely out of their control.

I am earnestly waiting for what the **** the US is gonna do next. Putin just told the Ukrainian government not to use its own forces in its own country, for Christ's sake.

I'm a bit on the fence. I wouldn't want to be under Russia's thumb, either. Putin is ****ing nuts.

I don't flat-out buy the NATO line but at the same time I find it outrageous the attempt to pretend there are no Russian special forces on the ground assisting the protests.

Those "citizen militia" have some serious ****ing hardware.

lol

Let's be honest Jordan it wasn't going to be a free and fair election either way, as soon as the EU got its mitts into the place they would make sure that didn't happen, they have installed their own politicians into other nations in Europe so they would with this place as well.

It;s clear to everyone a pro West party would win in the West and a pro Russian party would win in the East. Let's just decide where to split the thing and get it done before ever more lives are lost.

Obama knows he can do nothing, Putin doesn't care about him, he doesn't remotly respect him, American can't afford a war, the American people don't want a war, the US won't get any support from Europe here either as we need gas, the Russians will surivive a cold winter far more than we will.

When they were mid twenties Putin was working his way through to being a high ranking member of the KGB, Obama was working his way up the chain of the "chang chang cannabis club" he became president of - it's no surprise who is going to dominate this one at the top table a few years later.

America and Britain have lost any moral authority to intervene in these sorts of things anyway given what happened a few years ago.

Who will be on Russia's side in an economic war though? The BRICS nations - Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa - are strong economically so I'm not so sure The West could take victory for granted. Normal people will suffer from any economic war, but the orchestrators will only get stronger.

I've heard that paper money has to be done away with (after the dollar collapses) in order for the New World to begin, so perhaps this is all part of that scheme.

Looks like Putin is playing his hand then.

Russian materiel (confirmed) and boots (not quite confirmed) in Ukraine. This could get rather interesting. In a bad way.

NATO is run by utterly insane, warmongering neo-liberals who have got themselves and much of the World into a right fvcking mess.
