Stadt Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Nah swop the kop to the family stand and then move the family stand to where the directors normally sit . . .I think we should swap the pitch direction so the family stand goal is at the kop end.
wolfgang amadeus Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Maybe so but not us,Look at our last 4 or 5 home games...against the likes of Charlton,Ipswich,Bolton etc. Have to take into account that we are top of the league and scoring for fun at home. Looking at Southampton who are a similar size club and have a similar size stadium, They were averaging more than us in their Championship promotion season and are averaging around 29/30k in the Premier League. We'll see anyway, COYB.
fleckneymike Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 The 'money' is in corporate seating. Getting extra fans through the turnstiles is a nice idea but all clubs want more corporate guests. We are merely part of the 'entertainment'. A box starts at 17k per season in the championship. Get into the Prem then who knows how much. Would you build thousands of seats or tens of corporate boxes?

cc_star Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 I think we should build a new stadium. On Filbert Street?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 I think we should swap the pitch direction so the family stand goal is at the kop end.or we could rotate the whole stadium 180 degrees and then put a slant downwards on the pitch towards the kop so that when we are attacking that end the ball will just run into the oppositions goal without any effort. It's genius honestly genius I wonder why I didn't think of it before . . . .

Any seats they add to the east stand will have at least one tier of corporate boxes beneath plus one would assume yet another corporate section of seating like those in the west stand.
Strokes Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Why dont we sell seats in the carpark? Most of you lot dont watch the game anyway

We'll see anyway, COYB. That's why our ground is to small,26,000 average against let's be honest middle to average sides, just shows what we could get in the prem....Leicester is a big city and a one club city, even though Southampton is a similar club there capacity is the same and also it's down the south coast...which puts people off

Ooops, My post should have said it 'wouldn't' cost a lot more so yes i agree with you. probably some more 'Entertaining rooms and restaurant as well. this is how they would justify it not on larger gates.

AlphaMaleFox Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Can they extend the size of the seats I was really squashed in yesterday. I have to sit at an angle because my balls are so massive. With big shoulders comes big balls

Captain... Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 If they did extend it, I would hope that should we get relegated or play against a lower draw team, the just wouldn't use it. If it was only used on games where would sell out normally then it would still pay for itself, but not make the rest of the ground look half empty and increase staffing costs the rest of the time. It would mean no season tickets up there, but better that than having more sparsely populated areas in less attractive fixtures. They could keep it basic make it general sale only and if and only if it looks like they are going to sell out. I don't know if this feasible, or there are hidden costs or regulations I haven't thought of but that is what I would do. The other consideration is bigger ground more likely to get an England friendly or be considered for a Euros or world cup bid, and get more money if the egg chasers need a bigger ground.
Iwan is a Welshman Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 I don't want to watch us play Brighton at home in front of 20,000 empty seats, one good season is far too premature to be talking about stadium expansion.
