Extending the king power stadium

I don't think a club of our stature could ever be settled and assured in the PL so on that basis you could never justify it, certainly not with the current financial structure of the PL

Our record attendance was 47,000 was it not?

We have the potential to get crowds of that number but it will take time and success to reach that point.

Back then everyone got large crowds, there was little else to do apart from go to the football.  But I admire your optimism.

I do, certainly have the inferstructure & fanbase and deffo the financial backing now to become an established prem side, maybe like a Sunderland type club:)

Pretty sure if we were to linger around the top 10 only then would the club consider extended the stadium capacity to 40,000. This was said years ago, mind.

We should switch the family stand and the kop.

I don't think we need to extend or switch the family stand with the kop.

Makes more sense to switch where we put the away fans and put them under one of the screens next to the kop.

We'd not sell out a stadium of say 40k

If we can sell out 32000 against Scunthorpe in League 1 I think we should sell out 40000 against the likes of Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City in the Premiership

And then switch the family stand and the kop.

nah swap the kop and the family stand.

Our ground is to small,In the prem believe it or not 40,000 capacity would be spot on,anybody who remembers 12 years ago will tell you our average gate was 30,000 plus, and would have been a hell of a lot more if it was bigger,so the pathetic comments like change the music and change the kop end get realistic, you really don't realize how big this club.

Whilst this may be the case attendances have been falling throughout football and it doesn't really seem worth the risk extending the stadium in my opinion.

Maybe so but not us,Look at our last 4 or 5 home games...against the likes of Charlton,Ipswich,Bolton etc.

And we look like we are in a much better position than we were last time in the Premiership, decent young team with wealthy financial backing. 2 good reasons for more people to support the club

Attendances next year , Season tickets holders next year - Both will depend firstly on the price of the ticket and then our points per game ratio.

Would love a bigger ground to keep prices lower but is that the best business model - arguably not !

A larger capacity would work with the following criteria imo:

1/ Sustained Premership success.

2/Sensible pricing structure.

3/ Sensible wage structure.

Plans were made that if we reached decent stages in the premier leaguer, there would be another tier built on top of the east stand to give us a 39000 capacity.. I recon it could happen soon ..if we get 32k for forest in championship.. Then surely.. Man United.. Arsenal.. Liverpool etc.. Sell out guaranteed., more seats maybe needed.
