Leicester_lad_92 Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Am I right in saying there's rumours about the ground being extended should we go up & stay in the premier league?? Would be great if it did happen:)
Leicester_lad_92 Posted 2 March 2014 Author Posted 2 March 2014 We should switch the family stand and the kop. Would be good but doubt it coz of health and safety -.- What do we all think about goal music? I like our goal music:) long as it's not the fratellis or Tom hark rubbish, keep it local like post horn gallop or a local band and it's all good:)
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Am I right in saying there's rumours about the ground being extended should we go up & stay in the premier league?? Would be great if it did happen:) Why? So we can double the amount of empty seats?
Leicester_lad_92 Posted 2 March 2014 Author Posted 2 March 2014 Why? So we can double the amount of empty seats? Aha we all know the 'other fans' shall we say will be out in force in the prem mate, easily sell out in the premier league as we did last time.theyll only look to add more seats if we do ... $$$£££
Stadt Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 We have got the potential to draw crowds of 35,000+ because we are a one club city but it's a few years away yet.

Fox92 Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Pretty sure during 03/04, the stadium was at or near full capacity most games.
Kitchandro Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Seriously can we not do this again? Half the people say we'd just be left with empty seats and the other half say we wouldn't. Both of which are far too simplistic arguments.
Bayfox Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 We have got the potential to draw crowds of 35,000+ because we are a one club city but it's a few years away yet. But we aren't as we have that egg chasing lot just down the road.
Happy Fox Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 We'd not sell out a stadium of say 40k Our record attendance was 47,000 was it not? We have the potential to get crowds of that number but it will take time and success to reach that point.
Leicester_lad_92 Posted 2 March 2014 Author Posted 2 March 2014 We'd not sell out a stadium of say 40k I think you'd be surprised mate tbh with the fan base we have, & I agree wookie certainly 35,000 is realistic should we go up.
Stadt Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 But we aren't as we have that egg chasing lot just down the road.I suppose but we still have the potential to do it but we'd have to consolidate ourselves as a top half premiership club to get there.
blueonyou Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 This will likely happen if we see continued sell outs in the prem next year AND stay up.

We do indeed, apparently our fan base is in the top 15 in England so we've certainly got a lot of potential as club:
Leicester_lad_92 Posted 2 March 2014 Author Posted 2 March 2014 This will likely happen if we see continued sell outs in the prem next year AND stay up. Yes mate that's what I heard:) we shall say, not trying to get too far ahead but just wondering:)
Corky Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 52k for Hull Tigers at home in the 2016/17 season. Can't wait
Bryn Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 32500 is more than adequate for now. I'd sooner the money went into the playing staff and training infrastructure for the time being.
Guest kristianity77 Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 I dont think we need expansion. Id be surprised if we go up next season if our average attendance was anywhere near capacity by the end of the season. We would sell out perhaps half a dozen home games but I think for a normal prem fixture against mid table and down, I reckon we might only get between 27-28K
blueonyou Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 In a way it'd be nice to have a season of sell outs than a season with 5k seats empty. Extension might not even happen without 2 or more sustained sell out seasons in the prem. It's a big commitment and a huge liability should we return quickly to the championship.
Matt Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Let's get ourselves settled, assured and established in the Premiership before we go extending the stadium ah? Even if we can sell out our current capacity I think extending it would be abit knee-jerk after 1 season, if we're up there for 2, 3, 4 years selling out week in week out then we have reason to extend.

Kitchandro Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 I'm not bothered about the capacity increasing but I am bothered about us playing in this boring ugly stadium for the rest of my life. It certainly needs significant redevelopment at some stage. If that means increasing the capacity and not selling out every single match then so be it.

Aha:L would look good with say a double decker type stand in in the KOP & east stand:-) shame they took down the players at the top around the side
