4ever and ever Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Was that vardys 8th booking of the season and therefore banned for the Barnsley game?
Corky Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 He's got 30,000 bookings. For his end of season promotion party
xHamzah Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 I hope he gets his 10th booking in time to make it back for the Burnley game
4ever and ever Posted 2 March 2014 Author Posted 2 March 2014 It will be a 2 game ban when he gets to 10 as well though won't it?
Devonfox1884 Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 If he gets to 10 it's a two-game ban isn't it?? Edit: beaten to it!!
Bert Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 It will be a 2 game ban when he gets to 10 as well though won't it?Nope. You only serve the 2 game ban if you've previously served a ban. I think.
DennisNedry Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 He needs to make sure he isn't banned for Burnley!
4ever and ever Posted 2 March 2014 Author Posted 2 March 2014 Nope. You only serve the 2 game ban if you've previously served a ban. I think. He was banned versus millwall wasn't he for 5 bookings?
Soar Fox Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 He was banned versus millwall wasn't he for 5 bookings? Yes. Booked against Bolton and it showed him apologising to Pearson for it on tunnel cam.
sylofox Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Wood and nuge would do it anyway. A little less speed and some more force. We may need to change it a little on the run in anyway. Stop teams guessing/knowing what we are doing. Keeping a winning side is good but when you get to the end of the season teams can read you. From now on in games will get hard. Everyone will try to park the bus now so a different approach won't hurt. We still have a lot of games with teams that need wins be it to survive or the playoffs.
Bert Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Yes. Booked against Bolton and it showed him apologising to Pearson for it on tunnel cam.Ah yes. Anyway, I've just looked into it - 10 Yellow Cards - If a Player receives 10 cautions between the first day of the season and the second Sunday in April they will be suspended for a period of 2 matches. If a Player receives a 10th caution after the second Sunday in April they will be severely censured and warned as to their future conduct and no suspension shall be imposed.

No team can read Vardy at the moment, he's unplayable in this division.
Lionator Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Would anyone advocate him getting deliberately booked so that he's banned for let's say Yeovil at home?
4ever and ever Posted 2 March 2014 Author Posted 2 March 2014 Ah yes. So 6 games to go and avoid a couple more bookings. Doable.
4ever and ever Posted 2 March 2014 Author Posted 2 March 2014 Really? No team can read Vardy at the moment, he's unplayable in this division. Completely agree. Parking the bus doesn't work either as the pace we have gets us pens
sylofox Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Really? No team can read Vardy at the moment, he's unplayable in this division. Really I can read it now. Pure speed he ain't rooney or RVP his game is speed nothing else. And no I'm not slagging him but his game is speed and he don't give up.
Soar Fox Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 So 2 more yellows and he'll get a 2 game ban. Could be worth resting him against Blackpool & Yeovil at home and just hope he doesn't pick up a booking in the games against Barnsley & Blackburn. The reason I said I would drop him against Blackpool & Yeovil is that Chris Wood, Kevin Philips or GTF could come in and do a good job against both of them. It's imperative for Burnley that Vardy is available.

It's imperative for Burnley that Vardy is available. I agree with that. Get Wood, Taylor-Fletcher or Phillips starting - or even experiment a 4-2-3-1 with something like... Schmeichel De Laet - Wasilewski - Morgan - Schlupp Drinkwater - James Mahrez - Knockaert - Dyer Nugent
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Really I can read it now. Pure speed he ain't rooney or RVP his game is speed nothing else. And no I'm not slagging him but his game is speed and he don't give up. No he's unplayable at the moment and won't be dropped unless injured or suspended
