There is a new metal gear solid coming out 2026 and believe it or not you can actually pre-order now. I ordered thought it was coming this month but wasn't wearing my glasses 🤣

It should be out this year, they've just not formally announced the release date yet. By all accounts it's all finished and ready to go.

Just passed through the Stronghold in RE Village having taken on an army of those werewolves.  Ammo depleted, none at the shop to buy, I have over 300000 Lei.  Yet here I am and can't spend it on anything lol

Great game so far though.  I hope it doesn't turn into RE6s endgame of bad level design and no ammo pickups.  Need ammo!

Played a bit of Manor Lords last night, really liked the feel of it. Crazy that it's all developed by one guy.

Does anyone else know of any similar type of games. I’ve ages left on this but want to be prepared

Not similar types of games but if you are getting back into the gaming scene then there are some absolutely brilliant games out there that i would strongly recommend you try.

God of War series

Uncharted Series

The Witcher 3

Mass Effect trilogy

Red Dead Redemption 2

Grand Theft Auto 5

The Last of Us

Skyrim

Fallout Series

And that's just off the top of my head. You cant go through life without playing these games

Just accidentally stumbled upon Wayfinder.

Apparently it was originally an MMO that flopped massively to the extent DE walked away from it.

It's been re-built as an ARPG that feels like a weird mix of Diablo and Borderlands, had all of it's live service elements taken out of it and it's actually really quite good?

Definitely not something I think I'll end up pumping hundreds and hundreds of hours in to but for twenty quid it's got a really fun core gameplay loop.

You forgot Powerwash Simulator...

How do you go about wrecking a controller in under 24 hours of game time?

Look no further lol

Just managed to get through the factory in RE Village and about, I suspect, to take on Heisenberg one final time.

I like the portrayal of Chris Redfield in this game and the story twists that come with him.

Didn't like that nutter with the rotating blades as much though smashing through a load of walls though moments before.  Using a sniper rifle from 3 yards out having run out of everything else isn't ideal lol

At the moment I prefer it to 7.  Let's see how it plays out.  The weakest aspect of 7 was the final ending so we'll see.

Been meaning to get back onto Power wash. I wonder if they fixed the glitch for the final trophy. I also see they have FF7 things to clean now lol

Saw Stronghold Crusader Definitive Edition was announced last week. One of the games of my childhood so would be keen to pick it up for old time's sake. 6GB video ram recommended, for Stronghold? I used to run it on my dad's work laptop 20 years ago.

I don't have a PC with a video card so that's a no then.

Been out for a while as I've been playing it recently! Such a class game.

Yes.  Opinion seems to be split on which is better, 7 or 8.

I've just finished Village.  Thought the story was really well done and the tie in with 7 was done well.  The whole Chris Redfield section at the end was also excellent and overall the final boss encounter was better imo than 7.

Shame about Ethan but then the revelation of what actually happened to him in 7 makes sense in the end in the story of 8.  Certainly a few unexpected twists and turns since I thought the game would feature heavily in the castle with Lady Dimitrescu.  Wrong! lol

Will be interesting to see where RE9 goes next.  Coming off RE4R and into Village was probably the right way to go about it.  A good mix of action and horror gameplay with good environments thrown in.

I'd put Village in a top 3 with RE2R and RE4R I think it's good enough for that.  Outside of those, I'd put Revelations and RE7 in my top 5 too.

That's the original version isn't it, Crusader was always much better imo, it's out in July.

My mistake.  It even appears as a front page ad when I launched the O.G.

I need to play through RE1 and CV again, however I did RE0 recently and I am really not a fan of the tank controls anymore after having played 7,8, and the remasters

RE7 is probably a scarier game over RE8 with the exception of "that house" but I really liked 8 because of the fact it was basically RE4 in first person which was amazing for someone who adores RE4. We then obviously got the remake of RE4 which was icing on the cake.

Just started GoW Ragnorok.  Much better opening than the previous installment.  Just hope the god fights are far more epic this time round.

Great game but there are segments that are mind numbling boring. When you get there you will know what i mean. Overall though still a joy to play. Good twist in it also

Apologies if it's been mentioned earlier, but anyone playing Marvel Rivals? It's very addicting and this is coming from someone who never played Overwatch.

I am, although played OW since OW1 release. Think OW is a bit better in terms of balance and how it flows but having Marvel characters will ultimately make this more popular.

I'm 'maining' support characters and can play a few tanks (my aim sucks).

What do you play on?
