I am, although played OW since OW1 release. Think OW is a bit better in terms of balance and how it flows but having Marvel characters will ultimately make this more popular.

I'm 'maining' support characters and can play a few tanks (my aim sucks).

What do you play on?

I'm on Xbox mate, I'd imagine if you're a PC player than it's certainly more aim dependent. I managed to get to Diamond rank last night almost exclusively playing Rocket but the jump up is noticeable.

If we already have a couple of supports and it works with the team I pick Bucky, his ultimate is a farce :D.

Nice. I'm on Xbox too, got to diamond the other day pretty much exclusively playing Luna Snow and Adam Warlock.

I need to pick up some damage characters so plan to do that over the next couple of weeks.

Played a bit of Manor Lords last night, really liked the feel of it. Crazy that it's all developed by one guy.

Looks pretty good will try it over the weekend, shame it's not multiplayer.

Farthest Frontier on pc looks good as well.

Just seen there is a new Civilization out today on Xbox.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Loving it.  Like the original but improved everything incrementally. Combat still as brilliant and infuriating as ever :D

I was thinking it felt easier than in the original until I got absolutely annihilated by a bloody wolf.

Haha yeah that's exactly what I was referring to. Feel like you're getting to grips with the combat and then some relatively insignificant enemy knocks you back down to earth.

I've done about 25/30 hours so far and don't really feel like I've progressed that much due to the nature of the quests.

43 years old and haven’t gamed properly in 20 years. Was a huge gamer in my younger days (SNES, PlayStation 1, then casually for a few years then gave up). Genuinely haven’t played properly for as long as I can remember. My girlfriend and I bought each other a PS5 for Christmas so I’ve dipped my toe back in. Obviously everything LOOKS amazing but why are new games 90% cut scenes? I find most of the new games that everyone raves about so boring? I think I’m too old.

Having said that, Astrobot is one of the greatest things I have ever played and since completing it I am obsessed with the speed run levels. Top 3 platform games I’ve ever played and the only 3D one I’ve ever liked.

You probably need to look more in to the indie game market, some of the best games that exist are indies these days and a lot of them are extremely nostalgic and tailored to our generation of gamers.

A lot of the main stream AAA games that get a lot of hype are extremely cinematic, yeah.

Agree, Astrobot is a top quality game. My son absolutely lost his mind it won game of the year and not so crappy annual rebadge like Call of Duty or some such.

He played Astrobot, loved it, so he can eat those words now!

You will only need a PS Extra subscription and you have a whole host of stuff to get through.

Currently GoW Ragnorok is on Extra which is great.  Lots of cut scenes for you to enjoy lol

Joking aside, I think it's better than GoW 2018.  I didn't care much for it, struggled to get through it and binned off the side content once I got through the underwhelming ending.  But Ragnorok is something else.  Feels better, the level design is better, the story is better, the bosses are better.  The cut scenes are better.  Just visited the norns and the cut scene was brilliant.  It's my favourite with GoW 3 at this moment in time.

And graphically it's the prettiest game since HFW.

Looks like my type of game will get it next week

DragonAge Veilguard has had so much hate and people havent given it a chance. Im about 30 hours in and its not a bad game at all.

Combat is decent and the story isn't too bad.

Ive got the character who identifies as non binary but SHE hasn't really brought it up yet. Lets see if it drives this narrative down my throat and if it will annoy me as much as i thought it would before i started playing. As im quite enjoying the game so i feel like i can look past it.

It's quite slow. In the same way Red Dead 2 is.

Combat can still be quite punishing and clunky but it's simpler with just 4 directions rather then 6 on KCD 1.

I'm absolutely in love with it. KCD 1 I did enjoy but there was moments where it felt like a bit of a chore to do it which I've not had in this one so far. 45 hours into.

I've noticed the price drop on it.  Keep us posted, might get it later this year.  Also another similarly received title was Star Wars Outlaws.  Price drop on that too and reviews positive despite the negative reaction at launch.

GoW Ragnorok is brilliant.  Much preferred to GoW 2018.  Just finished the Garm section, feels proper GoW this time round.  Just need some of that Sparta attitude thrown in at the end and it'll be perfect.

Agree with this, very similar age and recently got a PS5 after years away.

People seem to rave about Ragnorok, yeah it's pretty, but it felt like I've seen it all before. I got so bored I didn't bother finishing it.  That's just one example.

That said, firing up the PS5 is a good way to completely shut the brain off for a couple of hours.

I do tend to prefer open world sandbox type games so I'll give Kingdom Come 2 a bash.

The start is very slow.  Think you have to have a bit of patience and commit a fair amount of time to it aswell. Definitely not a game where you just switch it on for an hour at a time

You can switch it on and then spend 40 minutes brewing potions before you know it.

Or if you got to an area unprepared you could easily lose 30 odd minutes when you die and you go back to the latest save (especially if your just exploring).  When you do missions it's not so bad as KCD2 tends to save more then I remember KCD 1 autosaving.

I spent one evening just gathering herbs and brewing Saviour Schnapps, Marigold Decoctions and Aqua Vitalis so I'm always prepared. My alchemy skill jumped about 20 levels lol

Yeah I am waiting until my wife goes away for a weekend before purchasing it.

It's bad enough she tries to communicate with me when I'm playing COD let alone something immersive like this.

Suspect I spend the first day of play just getting to grips with all the options, crafting and weapons basics, iirc it's a very tricky fighting system.

Finished Jedi Survivor last week and really enjoyed it. Also played Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Tape 1 which was really good, looking forward to the next part out in April.

Had nothing else lined up so thought I’d try the Tomb Raider reboot from 2013 on PS Plus. My word, it’s just thoroughly miserable torture porn and I’m not sure I can be bothered to finish it.
