harpendenfox Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 Wow this feels good. Of course the MON years in the Prem were fantastic, and we're not even close to matching that period in our history yet, but I genuinely don't think I can remember quite such an enjoyable season in my 40 years as a fan. I think it's the standard of performance that is just so wonderful. The succession of opposition managers proclaiming us 'the best in the league by miles'. The evident teamwork and camaraderie amongst the squad. The non stop desire to get even better. So much praises must be given to Nige. Round about this time last year I was beginning to sharpen my knives as the blip turned into freefall, but how wrong I was, and I hope I remember that if we hit tricky periods in the Prem should that be where we're plying our trade next season. And as someone else said earlier, 3-0 is the new 2-1. Nicely put sir, whoever you were.
MC Prussian Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 What I have to stress is how loud the away support sounded during the radio commentary. Absolute quality. If only there was a way to replicate that at the King Power on a more regular basis.

Hack Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 Win the next 2 and we're going up. It's not done yet though folks. Seriously!! Turn it up. Stop already with this It an't done yet. We won't win every game coming up but the odds of us not going up are ludicrously high. So you would have to believe we are going to tank or for some sort of miracle from Derby or QPR to catch us. There has been nothing in this season where we have lost a grand total of 5 games to blow it from here.
iamafox Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 I must be dreaming.......is this really happening?!
Simi Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 Beaming with joy this morning. We were dominant from start to finish last night. If we hadn't taken Nugent and Vardy off we'd have scored another two at least, I don't doubt that. Barnsley paid the price for allowing Drinkwater and James the space to dictate in midfield. Best partnership in this league by a mile. Drinkwater rightly takes the plaudits but at the same time James just never stops nicking the ball back when he has no right, picking the best pass and driving us forward constantly. Vardy was in one of them moods where he was just unplayable. Their centre back that came off the bench must've been shitting himself about squaring up to Vardy with his back to goal. JV did the same thing against the CB at Brum, drew him towards the ball and then slid it past him knowing he can do him for pace. Wonderful goal, Nugent is such a good partner for Vardy as well. The amount of times he puts him through or creates a chance for him shouldn't go unnoticed. So unbelievably proud of this team, to think there are barely any changes to last year and how far we have come is a real testament to everyone at the club. I love them.
ryanlcfc888 Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 Brilliant performance and a decent atmosphere looks like im going to get my first taste of the premier leauge next season:D

-blue- Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 And yet again our players mirrored our supporters. ...we took the piss for the vast majority of the game. Pearson making those early subs sent a clear message too, finish the job and then retreat ,for we have a few more battles to win over the coming weeks . Barnsley were poor and their fans sat silent for the entire first half. ...yet found their voices to whinge about us after the fame, it's fans like those that make us cone across as being arrogant sometimes IMO
lcfcliam Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 Don't know if its been mentioned but that M'voto their centre back putting his arm up for offside when kasper took his goal kick was just the most embarrassing thing ive seen at a match

Des. Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 For those who wanted a higher resolution picture of the lads celebrating. The resolution is 2000x1300
Bryn Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Just watched the highlights of this game and rewatched the Charlton game. The football we're playing looks outrageously fluid. I'd say we actually play something of a 4-2-3-1 now but Nugent, Mahrez and Knockaert are completely interchangeable, with Vardy in front of them.
Uncle Monty Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Barnsley boss Danny Wilson is relieved his side do not have to play Leicester again this season, saying: "Thank f*** for that."
Guest kristianity77 Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Not sure if this has been posted anywhere on this site but this is timing at its best http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTpoD2BvLQA
