Any fvcking need for that?

What?

Stating a fact... I was in L/K before I moved to SK1 and the atmosphere was brilliant first few years, then it slowly died due to too many people not singing if we play poor or lose..  and people standing right at the top and not singing...

Not trying to offend anyone, it's just a fact?

Are you ok?

Yeah, but is there really any need to be disparaging other parts of the ground when what we should all be concentrating on is the positive outcome of the meeting and making sure SK1 succeeds? It's hardly the first time you've jumped on that bandwagon either, it was basically the first thing you did after the Charlton game.

The group has the word "Union" in its name for a reason. Trying to divide people at this early stage is utterly counter-productive.

Me and a few mates were planning on moving over, are you saying we need to join a group 1st?

Not for this season. But if you want to get a season ticket in the section next season you will have to make your self known to the group.

Then Union FS will give the club the names of the guys who can get seats in our section.

Nothing to do with Dividing us as "Fans"

If it divides the ones who stand and make no contribution to the atmosphere, yet take up a seat in the "Singing section" I am 100000% for dividing... hence the comment....

Without any sort of "Group" or "membership"

Whats to stop 2000 fans coming and sitting in sk1 not singing next home game?

Nothing, which I why I agreed with the initial Membership Idea...

The Idea of SK1 is to encourage hardcore fans who sing whether we are losing 10-0 or winning 10-0, So I would like the same mentality of fans near me.

It's nothing personal so calm yourself, If you seem to take offence then maybe you are guilty of it, Or you could just accept it's a fact that plenty of fans buy seats in L/K just to be part of the atmosphere yet never sing, Which is why SK1 has eventually had to be made as L/K have slowed down recently.

Lee can we stop talking about L,you may have valid reasons but we should only be talking about SK1.

Also regarding joining UFS,Its just the best way of getting info and not rumors etc.

Was not a case of mentioned L as a direct insult, And the comment I made about L was actually about SK1 (That having UFS members would benefit the area)

L is the only case example that could have been used

Yeah fair play, but others might take it as a pop.I'm just saying that let's just big ourselves up.I met you at the Charlton game and you seemed a decent lad and seem as passionate as anyone on this.

Let's just try and keep this topic positive if at all possible?!

Well done Union FS for your great work.  :chant:

definitely, I can see Voll took it that way and was not intended, I hope he sees that anyway.

Just want to see this section full of like minded fans who will sing no matter what, It's a very proud section to be stood in on match day!

Posted

Not now you dont, just buy a ticket near the top and you're away, it would be nice to get something like that up there tho IMO...

It's going to be easy to turn into an L/K block where fans literally sit there just to be in the atmosphere yet never contribute, atleast if we got a "Section" for us, We could attract only Members (Like minded fans who will sing for 90 minutes)

Our current season tickets are about 20 seats to your left (as you face the pitch) we all shuffled over for Charlton but couldn't last week due to it being full! We were planning on moving closer to you for next season , there's only 4 of usbut we all get behind the boys!

Out of interest who's the lad who was wearing the blue Fred Perry last week starting most things off?.

Not sure to be honest, Yeah come over, It's getting brilliant up there and I expect come the end of the season will be one of the loudest grounds in the football league!

Just need everyone to move and sing :)

and let's get it straight, L/K hasn't 'died' and it is easily our loudest singing section of the ground and has been since it opened. Regardless of how it compares year on year it should be celebrated. Just like SK1 should be if it continues to grow. (FYI, I sit in SK1).

Seriously can't get over the fact that the club has agreed to giving us our own section......

This could be massive.

I wonder what number of season ticket holders we will be looking at up there next season?

Reckon 200 Union FS members is too optimistic? Cause if we get a core of 200 lads singing non stop all game, that really will be unreal!

If you can't tell, I'm pretty excited!

Nothing, purely a fans group,

They are acting as a representative of the fans

Sounds more like an exclusive club to me. They're not representing me and I'm a fan. Its the view of a small group of fans, not the majority.

Fair play tho. Personally I have better things to be doing than playing Scargill. Don't see the point in reserving a block though. If you all move there, the people who you don't want there will eventually move elsewhere. Creating an "invite" only block is going to further the "we're better fans than you". They should unite with all Leicester fans, not just the ones that stand and sing. But then I guess that's the measure of how "good" a fan you are; how loud you sing and how many away games you attend right?

Posted

Is there a plan showing which seats will be taken up by Union FS?

I've been sat in SK1 since the ground opened and won't be too happy should I not be able to renew my ST.

Union FS have purposely chose a block that has no season ticket holders in it what so ever. well at least it didn't have any in it until they started telling people to relocate after the Charlton game.

No one will be getting asked to move.

you obviously have read NOTHING that Union FS has written on this matter.

Weird that you would have them views. It isn't a executive club at all.Do you think we would have got this far without a voice speaking for us all. This area has been chosen because there are hardly any ST holders up there so makes migration easier.

It doesn't make us any better fans cause we wanna sing, but don't begrudge people.the chance to sing either We are in the minority, and if you don't wanna sing that's fine.

The definition of bragging brat.

There seems to be a few fans which have no intention of joining us over in SK1.This is totally fine. But could you please stop posting negative shit, what's the point.

Posted

Well if anyone fancies singing non stop for 90 minutes every single game no matter what the score then get emailing Filbo Spirit to get on the list for our block!

Season tickets will be getting released pretty soon I imagine.

Posted

Being negative about this is completely ridiculous. I only get to a couple of matches a year and in any case I am an old fart: but if I was younger and went regularly, I'd love to be with a crowd of like-minded fans who sing all the time.  And even when I get to games, it will be great to have that kind of atmosphere building up.

Seems to me that the whole Union FS thing, and the attitude of the club itself, is fantastic: mature and positive attitudes all round reflect well on LCFC and the real fans, and can only be good for the future.

Well done you lot.

Posted

I'm not being negative at all. Clearly no one fully read what I wrote. I'm simply offering an opinion that further segregating our fan base I don't think is a brilliant idea and that you can achieve what you're trying to without this Union BS.

Plus I find it odd for people to state "We're speaking for the fans!", no, you're not!

Posted

This is moving along nicely and it is clearly an open and inclusive group who wish to express their right to sing and loudly support the club they love. There is no disrespect to other fans who choose to support their club in their own way. It is not a marker for how good a fan you are and those that attend just 1 game a year are clearly welcome to join.

It would be nice if people didn't make things up to suggest otherwise or try to create a rivalry with other parts of the ground but being realistic, from the anonymity of a keyboard some will do just that.

Hopefully anyone thinking of joining will take no notice of these people and realise what the group is and celebrate it as part of the whole of the fantastic fan base Leicester  City has. We are all fans of the wonderful LCFC and support in our differing ways, lets celebrate the diversity of support and work together for the benefit of the club and the team and ourselves.

Above all lets ALL enjoy supporting our club.

How can bringing the singers together be segregating them.Give me strength.
