Union FS Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 As some of you will be aware, we have been liaising with the Club for some time now with a view to arranging a first meeting between Union FS representatives and Club officials. We are pleased to report that we were able to agree upon a date and the first meeting took place yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 18th March 2014). Discussions were extremely positive and we are hopeful that the foundations have been laid for a strong working relationship with the Club as we move forward looking to achieve our goals as a group. For those who are interested, minutes from the meeting can be found here. As always, please let us know your thoughts and get in contact with us at [email protected] or by commenting in the thread if there are any issues you would like to raise as a result of what you have read. The Year Of The Fox Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 A positive evenings work bybthe sounds of it
LCFC FOX Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 It's looking up If you get the block reserved, how does the club know if we are apart of FS?
yorkie1999 Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 It's looking up If you get the block reserved, how does the club know if we are apart of FS? It's tattooed on your forehead
bluesbrothers Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 Sounds like a good meeting. UFS is already sounding like a much better proposition than the Fosse Boys ever was. Best of luck to you.
Dan Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 I really do think Union FS could save our support in the long-term. Very impressed with that and glad that there've been some agreements met. It looks like they might even be reserving the block for us which I never thought they'd do, great stuff
Finnaldo Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 It's looking up If you get the block reserved, how does the club know if we are apart of FS? It mentions in the minutes that they know members, so possibly some kind of register is held of members? On a separate note, I'd like to commend the approach taken by Union FS. Approachable, organised and professional, a fantastic effort. Although I'd like to join up I don't get the chance to get into Leicester much, especially mid-week, so I'll definitely pass it on to anybody who would be interested. Out of curiosity, does the group have social media links e.g. Twitter account/Facebook page?
maynefox Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 Great potential here. Shame I can only go to say 1/2 home games a year due to being at university.Always prefer to sit/stand in SK1

Very good times!! All exciting news, and literally cannot wait for the next game just to help build this project further, and eventually have one of the biggest home supports in the section in terms of atmosphere
Babylon Posted 20 March 2014 Posted 20 March 2014 I think I've missed out on a lot of this Union FS stuff... not that I want to become a member (pointless, people I sit with will never move over there). How exactly to you register, are there costs involved etc etc?

How exactly to you register, are there costs involved etc etc? Nothing, purely a fans group, They are acting as a representative of the fans, With meetings organised to discuss things LCFC related, For example the new singing section, there were great discussions, then a meeting set for the bolton game at new year, where everyone went and voiced their views, UFS then put a plan into action, Release it and go for it! They have been thoroughly professional throughout and personally to have made such great inroads with the club in the past few months (This is purely from an SK1 point of view) I am proud to be represented by them as a fan. Sign up to the mailing list for future information about the group, what is going on behind the scenes, the details of the new singing section etc etc.... Come and join us babs! You'd be in good company over with the SK1 Lads, never seen such a group of dedicated fans. It really is something to be a part of!
AndWhat? Posted 20 March 2014 Posted 20 March 2014 Massive news. Looks like we are going to have our own section next season that only Union FS members can get into.
Vlad the Fox Posted 20 March 2014 Posted 20 March 2014 This is very good. Well done Filbo Spirit and the club for being willing to embrace the idea and help to accommodate them.
CPW22 Posted 20 March 2014 Posted 20 March 2014 Great news. Union FS seem to be making extremely good progress, as a fan I just want to say thank you and I hope it continues to progress.
tomtom Posted 20 March 2014 Posted 20 March 2014 Massive news. Looks like we are going to have our own section next season that only Union FS members can get into. Me and a few mates were planning on moving over, are you saying we need to join a group 1st?
cityfanlee23 Posted 20 March 2014 Posted 20 March 2014 Me and a few mates were planning on moving over, are you saying we need to join a group 1st? Not now you dont, just buy a ticket near the top and you're away, it would be nice to get something like that up there tho IMO... It's going to be easy to turn into an L/K block where fans literally sit there just to be in the atmosphere yet never contribute, atleast if we got a "Section" for us, We could attract only Members (Like minded fans who will sing for 90 minutes)
