Lcfclee Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 If Kasper is credited the goal is this the first season that all playing positions have scored ie GK RB CB CB LB RM CM CM LM S S
Nick Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 Big Was hasn't scored yet this season. That's true but not what the OP is stating........ Looks like Kasper's goal will stand courtesy of the dubious goals panel: http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/leicester-keeper-kasper-schmeichel-should-have-been-awarded-injury-time-goal-v-yeovil-header-crossed-the-line-vine/
Lcfclee Posted 26 March 2014 Author Posted 26 March 2014 Not individual players the actual position of the formation
broughtonblue Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 So it seems that schmichael will be credited with the goal and be our saviour of a point. But I think he also deserves enormous credit for his save from Miller in the second half, terrific agility to get his left hand to it, if that had gone in and it became 2-0 I think we really would have struggled, so thanks Kasper x2
Babylon Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 It is a bird, is it a plane... no it's Kasper going up for a corner...
Captain... Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 It is still very hard to tell, seeing some of the goal line technology decisions and the debate over whether Nugent took the ball out of play and Phillips' goal, whilst it looks in from that still, it doesn't necessarily mean the whole of the ball is over the whole of the line the angle can be very deceptive, has it officially been given to him yet?
StanSP Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 Feel for Wood. Technically it's his goal as play has continued. Obviously massively delighted and overjoyed for Kasper for rescuing us a point!
Filbert_Ross Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 Dunno how it can be Kaspers goal if it wasn't given. If Wood hadn't scored it stays1-0 as far as I could tell.

Bettsj2 Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 Dunno how it can be Kaspers goal if it wasn't given. If Wood hadn't scored it stays1-0 as far as I could tell. THIS. Surely for te dubious goals panel to get involved, the goal has to be given in play which it wasnt. Seeing as goal line technology isnt used in the Championship, there isnt really any way he can be officially credited with it?
FoxDownSouth Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 Something is telling me he wont get it. Hope he does though
Sampson Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 Yeah, I don't see how it could ever be given to Schmeichel. The dubious goals panel is set up to decide the scorer of a goal which is definitely given when it's difficult to tell because of deflections etc. They can't retroactively award goals which weren't given, the referee awarded Chris Wood's goal, not Schmeichel's, so it's Chris Wood's goal.
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 Did the ref actually gesture that it wasn't a goal? He might have given it had Wood not followed up and made sure. By waiting to see what happened he made it a lot easier for himself.

Calg91 Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 If for the last game of the season were promoted(hopefully as champions) we should just let kasper play upfront. He'd love it and would give 110% plus it would b funny.

LAprice_ Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 We know that he gave the Wood goal but when looking back, it all happened so quickly that I'm sure they can say that the ref was simply slow in awarding the Kasper goal.
Sampson Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 We know that he gave the Wood goal but when looking back, it all happened so quickly that I'm sure they can say that the ref was simply slow in awarding the Kasper goal. But Stringer asked the referee yesterday after the game and he said he awarded the goal for Chris Wood's header, not Schmeichel's. They can't simply invent a goal the ref didn't award post-match. That'd be opening up a massive can of worms to say the least. I know it would be fun if it were Kasper's goal, but it's 100% Wood's and it's no way gonna be given to Kasper.
Beliall Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 If the ball had bounced clear do you think the ref would have conferred and given a goal, while being surrounded by foxes claiming one?
aussie-fox Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 Logan would sh*t himself - I bet he doesn't even own a pair of gloves funniest thing ive read for a long time!
