Guest Col city fan Posted 2 April 2014 Posted 2 April 2014 It is hard to be as foolish as you are? I've always been an optimist as my posts in all threads all seasons show. I've ALWAYS stated that we'd be promoted. I find it amazing that you have taken my criticism of your childishness to heart for so long. To be fair to FIF.. he always seems to be optimistic. This season, rightly so.
foxfanazer Posted 2 April 2014 Posted 2 April 2014 Bet you don't. . I don't know mate. Really like this forum but I think I'm on here way too much!
fuchsntf Posted 2 April 2014 Posted 2 April 2014 There I was basking in the glory of our 20th undefeated game and rubbing my hands at the ecstatic delight that awaits me in the next 7 days after 10 years of wanting. Then I read this thread and realized how much of a fool I´ve been, NP really had me convinced we were good even great, that we had a fantastic managerial team, that we cant lose !! Imagine that !!! So thank you, thank you, you know who you are I wont name you or gush, as listening to your overwhelming wisdom and unfathomable insight on here I have been brought back from the brink, saved from the dangerous path of blind faith and brought back down to the dismal reality that is Leicester City. I see it now ...I´ve checked the facts ..... we are NOT top of the Championship Fair Paly table and trail to Burnley and Ipswich - Unacceptable and not only that ,,, we are also now 4th in the FORM table behind Bournemouth, - a seaside town FFS, Burnley and wait for it Doncaster ! DONCASTER FFS I dont even know where that is !! This is appauling. How could NP be so irresponsible ? If he were any good we would be top of all the tables in the whole world right guys ????? OK so we´re top of the league, gonna get prmoted to the promised land, best ratio of points earned of all teams in England above Man City, 13th best unbeaten run in all Europe, best unbeaten run in our histroy at this level, set for record breaking total points in the championship, best home record, best away record, most goals scored, best goal difference ... and I could go on..... .....but none of this matters because today, as you guys have made very clear to me, we are just not good enough, we dropped two points againts one of the best teams in the league and FA Cup semi finalists. We put in playes who have not played in a few games, ok so two of them scored ! ,,,, But THIS my friends is failure ! pure and simple! We should hold our heads in shame. Wheres my meds ? Shamefully the best response to the negheads, moanpies, and wisecupcakes. I like you didnt realise how many posters on this thread are potential top managers waiting, for the right job to come up. Hand over those meds, if end up in the same asylum, I hope Its next to you , veezeeblue at least we can share our madness.
Babylon Posted 2 April 2014 Posted 2 April 2014 I don't know mate. Really like this forum but I think I'm on here way too much! You need to take time away every now and again or you end up bitter and twisted like the rest of em!! Did me the world of good, and I will do exactly the same as soon as next season starts... because I know exactly what's coming!!!!

Burmesefox Posted 2 April 2014 Posted 2 April 2014 Great away day - Wigan was a suprisingly nice place and the locals were friendly folk. Speaks volumes that the only idiot I encountered was the speccy twat who didn't take kindly to me accidentally ending up in the two free seats next to him when I went up the wrong stairwell and decided to ignore the match for the 5 minutes up 'til Half time and have a go at me instead. I'm not complaining, because he was so busy being a seanut that he missed Kingy's equaliser. So much for the away day "family." Anyway, another solid away point at a Wigan side with obvious quality in their ranks. McClean threatened to tear us a new one, and so I'm pleased with the job our centre backs did to negate the threat he posed. De Laet was MOTM, always dangerous going forward and never shrank away from a challenge. Konch was steady enough, though guilty of some sloppy passing when going forward - that said, I only recall him being caught out once when Antoine-Fortune managed to skin him and get to the byline, so not a bad showing for someone who I'd expect to be a lot more "rusty" after so long out of the matchday squad. We need to sort out set-pieces, both defensively and attacking. Hammond deserves massive credit for showing some of the shrinking flowers in our midst how to attack a ball in the air, and he was probably the best of a midfield 4 who were by no means awful, but lacked the understanding and intuition you only get from building a long term partnership, a la Drinky & James + wingers. Otherwise, a solid performance given the amount of changes we made. Thought we were toothless up-front to start with, and that only really changed once the Dad's Army came on - though Phillips needs to learn to read Taylor-Fletcher's playmaking better. Mahrez had a decent game from the bench, too, and can't be faulted for his delivery for our second. Bottom line, we probably did tinker a little too much last night, but when what is now essentially our "second string" can grind out a result like that away from home, I've got no complaints. Great summary, exactly how I saw it....except for the Phillips needs to learn comment; might be a little too late in years for that now. ;-)
Guest Posted 2 April 2014 Posted 2 April 2014 yeah because we never play Saturday Tuesday with the same team! When did we last play Saturday, Tuesday and Friday. 3 games in a week. They should be able to but they are weak footballers and it's the end of a long hard season (NBAers would laugh their shorts off).
Guest Posted 2 April 2014 Posted 2 April 2014 Millwall was fine, Millwall was exactly the kind of game we should be resting players, it's a game where it might even help us in a way. Isn't it 3 points like any other game? What makes that fine and not the Wigan game?
Corky Posted 2 April 2014 Posted 2 April 2014 It's enough saying they could play three games in six days, but surely we'd want them at their maximum performance for all three games? Matches against the quality of Burnley and Wigan will take their toll on players with 48 hours recovery in between. As it is, four points taken, our midfield pair have six days recovery and should be up for the challenge.
Guest Posted 2 April 2014 Posted 2 April 2014 Hammonds goal yesterday! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJ34gXTD0Q4&feature=youtu.be Great one thanks. "Hammond's gonna score"
Dan Posted 2 April 2014 Posted 2 April 2014 The match thread made for absolutely awful reading. I could understand if it was April 1st 2013.
Tom's Pasta Posted 2 April 2014 Posted 2 April 2014 The match thread made for absolutely awful reading. I could understand if it was April 1st 2013. I should be more surprised. Almost used to this moronic section of our supporters now
Dickov22 Posted 2 April 2014 Posted 2 April 2014 The match thread made for absolutely awful reading. I could understand if it was April 1st 2013. I've just had a read through. So funny. Some of the highlights: 'We'll be torn a new arsehole in the Premier league' 'Get Hammond off at half time' 'Id rather have seen better management of James and Drinkwater so they weren't knackered at the same time' 'Worried how this will affect morale going into the vital 2 home games' 'King and Hammond non existent' 'bye bye unbeaten record. NOT GOOD ENOUGH' 'Did Nige not learn from what that Huddersfield game did to us last season?! ' 'We are missing Wasyl' 'If any of these fringe players set out to impress in this game, I wouldn't say a single one of them has really' Absolute at Leicester City fans
