Captain... Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Sven, you cvnt. Berner wasn't the only one either, Hobbs, Fryatt, Morrison, Weale, Waghorn all treated like shit by Sven. Not saying they had a divine right to start, but they deserved better treatment than they got. Made me angry reading that, fvck you Sven, and thank god for Nigel and our owners being able to put his disaster right.
Dan Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Is it any surprise? When you're that skilled a hypnotist it's no wonder some still buy the Sven hype. The bloke is a total, utter fraud. Berner was a quality left back and one of my favourite players since I've been going. Spot on attitude, clearly quite intelligent and he was a good defender too. I'd love to see him back one day as a coach although it's Pearson's call.
Bayfox Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 I always loved bruno. Those goals at Carlisle and crewe will live long in the memory for some unknown reason. He always comes across very well in any interview I have seen.
MGLCFC Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 All this anti Sven - didn't recall all the hatred when he was bringing in all the big names. Not that I agree with what Sven did, just saying many fans, me included, were almost gloating at the money we were spending. Pity Forest didn't learn from our errors, then again perhaps not.
Stadt Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 As others have said top work Prussian, I'm glad that you managed to do the interview because it's a fantastic read and you've put a lot of effort in. I'm pleased Bruno regards us so fondly and doesn't let Sven being a nob ruin his memories here.

Sometimes you place faith in a world renowned football manager. He is supposed to have worked with, scouted and researched these players, not us.
oxford blue Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Very interesting interview - thanks "15. Do you still keep an eye out on Leicester City’s results? Are you still in touch with the management or some (former) teammates? Do you still visit the stadium from time to time or do you intend on coming by again in the near future, and might it even be as a regular spectator? Of course, I’m still connected to the club. I talk to Nigel Pearson, Craig Shakespeare, Steve Walsh and LCFC’s Sports Science expert Rob Mackenzie on a regular basis. And yes, I follow the results every single week. 18. What are your goals as a coach? At the moment, you’re taking care of the FC Zurich U15 squad. Do you have any other ambitions? Actually, since the start of this season, I’m responsible for the U18 squad. I don’t want to pin myself down yet and am keeping a variety of options open." So, could he have a role at LCFC? NP - it appears he'd be happy to sign. I'm sure that Schlupp, in particular, could benefit from his experience.

Some of us were, I was disgusted at the time by the way he treated players that had given a bit of pride back to the club, and brought in a bunch of mercenaries. After the Cardiff defeat I was proud to be a Leicester fan after years of dross, Sven treated a good number of those players like shit.
MC Prussian Posted 22 May 2014 Author Posted 22 May 2014 How great is this? http://www.brunoberner.com/ I didn't notice he had it featured in his own news section! Awesome!
Basingstoke Fox Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 Didn't see this before but I'm so glad that I have now. He's still possibly my favourite player to wear the shirt since I've supported the club and that was a great read. Love it that he still thinks so highly of us.
LCCFox96 Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 Great stuff. Loved Berner's no nonsense defending and passion when he was playing for us. Sounds like Sven really mugged him off with that 1 year deal and signing PVA a few days later. Bruno didn't deserve that. Would love him back as a coach one day.
Stadt Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 I think Bruno in his prime would have been brilliant for us now.
