lcfc81 Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Am delighted for burnley. Completely deserved. I think they will do rather well next year as they will take the small adjustments approach to team building. (In the same manner we are supposedly going to build). I think dyche has done a great job. Well done done on a job well done and good luck for next season. Let's hope we both stay up comfortably, exciting times ahead.
Steven Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Come on, you're really analysing our managers comments so heavily? I'm sure should trawl through Saint Nigel's comments and find a few that I could irritate myself with. Knock yourself out.
Corky Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 I just picked your first defeat of the season out, I really can't be arsed to keep doing it. He didn't blame the officials for any other defeat, I'm sure of that. Dyche praised Pearson in that article and that's great, I'm sure they are friends and get on very well. I think people want to like Dyche, in a similar way to McCarthy and Holloway and be a character, just needs to lay off the inferiority a bit. We'll see how he copes next year and he deserves to be managing in the Premier League.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Regardless of what Dyche has said of late, he's done a great job there and has generally been very complimentary about Our Nige. All managers have a moan from time to time but let's keep it all in perspective. Let's move on from the bitterness.
Istilllovefilbert Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 In a nut shell, his moaning seemed to be an attempt to undermine the great job Pearson has done compared to himself. By throwing the poor Burnley card in at every opportunity, he's trying to give the illusion that he is better. The league table says otherwise.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 I think some of our fans are taking Dyche's stuff way too personally. He's done a great job there and that's a fact. Pound for pound (or pound notes for pound notes) you can argue he's done a better job than Nigel when you take into account expectation, resources etc
Super_horns Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Surprised he has complained so much about refs etc (he'll be doing each week next season then!) as don't remember Dyche being so critical when with us...mind you he had replaced Mackay who was an arch critic of the officials! Fair play to Dyche - not showed any bitterness about being sacked by the Pozzos and just gone onto another job and proved his worth.

By throwing the poor Burnley card in at every opportunity, he's trying to give the illusion that he is better. The league table says otherwise. Also given the level of expectation at Leicester City, Pearson has had to do a more difficult job at Leicester than the moaner has had to do at Burnley.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Picture on the last page says it all, being lauded over and loving it, held aloft by the players. Egotistical, gravel noised, bald ginger dickhead.
The Doctor Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 See what you've made me do! That was without trying, from Charlton earlier in the season. All managers do it, I can't understand why it annoys you so much. "There were certain things we were a bit disappointed with," said Nigel Pearson, the Leicester manager. "Unfortunately the talking points are not the players. Massive difference between Nige criticising one ref for being a moronic twatnugget, and dyches utter hypocrisy (Vardy penalty in December was soft, but an even lighter touch by wood to win the ball at turf moor was "practically assault") and generally making excuses no matter what the reality.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Was that stylish enough you bitter, demented old cvnt?
southfox66 Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 The other fans and pundits can say what they want, cause at the end of the day, the table don't lie and we're the team at the top of it, which means, fact we're the best side in Championship and no one can take that away from us, end of
PAPA LAZAROU Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 The little underdog love in won't last . Come next season Burnley will be down with the Christmas lights having come up for their gulp of financial oxygen and a bubble of parachute payment the next year. And good luck to them for that. But they are never going to be a Premiership club , small ground small support and small minded. For them this is as good as it gets. So let them have their 15 minutes of fame and let us have our nailed on six points off them next season.
