suffolk fox Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 West Brom fans charged £56 per ticket for an away game on a Monday night game live on sky at Man City. Arsenal charge £60 plus, Chelsea the same. It's going to be ruddy expensive next season. Premiership your having a laugth.
Number 6 Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 If people keep paying it, then they'll charge it. Fair play to the WBA fans who boycotted.
Foxes1 Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Arsenal charged WBA fans £35.50, Sunderland charged £29.00 at least we will be in the lowest category for most away games.
Fox92 Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Arsenal prices for smaller clubs are apparently ok, backed up above (they charged WBA £35). I'd imagine the most expensive to be Manchester City and Chelsea. The FA need to look into ticket prices. There needs to be a cut off point. £50 at City for WBA (I'd imagine us to be in the same category) is ridiculous, even more so when you consider it was on television on a Monday night. They shouldn't be able to buy whatever player they want then pay him £200,000 a week then charge away fans £50 a ticket.
ozleicester Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 What are the chances of getting tickets to the big awayers... Liverpool,, Manure, Newcastle?
leicesterseddon Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 What are the chances of getting tickets to the big awayers... Liverpool,, Manure, Newcastle? Liverpool and Manure will sell out to season ticket holders. Newcastle will probably make it to general sale, although from memory the allocation there isn't *that* big so it'll probably still sell out. Depends though. If Newcastle away is the first/last game of the season or something, you'll struggle to get a ticket without a season ticket. If it's on a Monday night in December and on SKY, you'll have no problem.

All premier league allocations are capped at 3000. Some of the smaller grounds i.e swansea allocate less than 3k but no one can allocate more than 3k for a league game

Some of the smaller grounds i.e swansea allocate less than 3k but no one can allocate more than 3k for a league game You can allocate 5000 if you want however I think someone has posted on here before you need over 2,500 allocation at least
Dan Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Imagine the thought process behind making a banner saying £56 is daylight robbery and then actually paying it anyway. **** me. If that's the best form of protest we can manage in this country then it's no wonder we're being taken the piss of. For what it's worth I highly doubt we'll be hit with a price like that regularly. Arsenal's supposed to be a relatively cheap one if you're a smaller club in the league like we'll be. The only chance I'd pay anywhere near what West Brom were charged last night is if it was a genuine season definer and even then I'd think twice.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Strangley Arsenal away will be one of the cheapest aways next season. Cardiff got charged £25.50 there so at worst we'll be next one up at £35

The clubs, by an absolutely minimal amount compared to what they get. It's complete and utter greed. All premier league allocations are capped at 3000. Some of the smaller grounds i.e swansea allocate less than 3k but no one can allocate more than 3k for a league game Wigan?

There are only minimum requirements for the allocation, not maximum. In any case, if I remember rightly, the regulation is that for league matches the away allocation has to be at least 10% of the ground capacity OR 3000, whichever is smaller.
XLM Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Does anyone have any idea when the season tickets are released - or at least pricing for them?
Agent Fox Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Does anyone have any idea when the season tickets are released - or at least pricing for them? got mine

To many idiots in this country willing to pay those prices. Would send a much stronger message if we had a few away ends with literally zero away fans. until we stop paying them, they will keep charging them.

Yeah Wigan offered the whole stand which is something like 5k. Although with Wigan now out of the prem, I don't think there is a team who allocate more than 3000
flintshirefox Posted 24 April 2014 Posted 24 April 2014 A mate of mine in work went to see Spurs away at Liverpool recently - he said he had to pay £46! Is this the sort of price we'll be expected to fork out next season at the so called 'big' clubs? I'd best get a second job ;-)
Vicki Vixen Posted 24 April 2014 Posted 24 April 2014 Here are the relevant Premier League rules, which suggests that if West Brom fans were charged £56 at the Etihad, then Man City fans in a "comparable area" which I assume is behind the goal, would also have been paying £56. 7. Unless otherwise agreed by the Board or between the Clubs, each Home Club shall make available to its Visiting Club 3,000 tickets (or, if the capacity of the Home Club s ground is less than 30,000, such number of tickets as is equal to 10 per cent. of its ground capacity) of which: 7.1 at least half must be made available on a sale or return basis; and 7.2 the balance must be ordered by the Visiting Club (subject to the conditions set out in Rule C.40) at least 4 weeks before the League Match to which they relate. 8. A Home Club shall not charge admission prices to supporters of a Visiting Club which are higher than those charged to its own supporters for comparable accommodation and in particular concessionary rates offered to senior citizens and junior supporters shall apply to supporters of a Visiting Club.
Dan Posted 24 April 2014 Posted 24 April 2014 So in other words Leicester shouldn't charge anyone more than they charge home fans in any of the corners? Twenty's Plenty is the way forward. Say a club charges £40 on average in an away end and it drops to £15 (balanced it up against kids tickets) then they'd lose £25 x 3000 every game. So £75k, 19 times (and that's it worst) is under £1.5mil. Is that such a giant loss for a club who's big enough to be able to get clubs filling their 3k away ends at £40 a pop anyway? Convinced if there was any fan unity then ticket pricing could be properly tackled but I'd bet my money the consensus was "West Brom's support iz well shit !!" rather than criticising the actual trouble makers.
CosbehFox Posted 24 April 2014 Posted 24 April 2014 Also worth mentioning that a few clubs this year subsidised away tickets this year. Some charter introduced by the PL to 'reward fans'.
Karljohn Posted 24 April 2014 Posted 24 April 2014 Welcome to the greed league, it'll £ 40 I reckon to see united, Chelsea, Liverpool, man city at Leicester.
Number 6 Posted 24 April 2014 Posted 24 April 2014 Definitely needs to be a cap for away ticket prices. If Man City do the same to us then I really hope no one goes. It's the only way it will stop.
CosbehFox Posted 25 April 2014 Posted 25 April 2014 I've knocked up a quick excel table and dug out this years away tickets pricing. I will post later. According to the averages of top category, you'd be spending a maximum of £860 on away tickets if you go all 19 games at an average of £45. According to the averages of lowest category (most likely), you'd be spending a maximum of £635 on away tickets if you go all 19 games at an average of £33. My research says Chelsea, Liverpool and Man U are robbing bastards. Pray we dont get Arsenal on the opening game/last game/Boxing Day.
