Spudulike Posted 11 May 2014 Posted 11 May 2014 Would expect membership details not to be available for a while yet, but they will certainly be available well ahead of the start of next season (unlike last year), we have been assured of that.Do you know if existing Members will get priority renewal before new applicants like the season ticket scheme ?? Will the numbers be limited ?? Thanks.
promised land Posted 11 May 2014 Posted 11 May 2014 Do you know if existing Members will get priority renewal before new applicants like the season ticket scheme ?? Will the numbers be limited ?? Thanks. there is no need really as they won't have a cap on memberships surely.
jammie82uk Posted 11 May 2014 Posted 11 May 2014 Do you know if existing Members will get priority renewal before new applicants like the season ticket scheme ?? Will the numbers be limited ?? Thanks. If you had read my post a few posts up it says "Guaranteed option to purchase a 2014/15 Season Membership" So yes existing members will get priority
Spudulike Posted 11 May 2014 Posted 11 May 2014 If you had read my post a few posts up it says "Guaranteed option to purchase a 2014/15 Season Membership" So yes existing members will get priority Thanks, missed that. However, doesn't say anything about existing members getting priority.
Carl the Llama Posted 11 May 2014 Posted 11 May 2014 Thanks, missed that. However, doesn't say anything about existing members getting priority. Apart from the bit where it says existing members have a "guaranteed option to purchase a 2014/15 Season Membership...
jammie82uk Posted 11 May 2014 Posted 11 May 2014 Thanks, missed that. However, doesn't say anything about existing members getting priority. What priority do you need? If you had a membership for 2013/14 and want one for 2014/15 you are guaranteed one regardless with payment of the relevant fee
promised land Posted 11 May 2014 Posted 11 May 2014 What priority do you need? If you had a membership for 2013/14 and want one for 2014/15 you are guaranteed one regardless with payment of the relevant fee Isn't he trying to get to the point where the existing members from this year get priority to tickets before new members for next season? That's how I'm reading it. I could be wrong though.
PAPA LAZAROU Posted 11 May 2014 Posted 11 May 2014 It was a good idea over the last ten years but with the amount of season tickets being sold this season and their right to buy a spare ticket I would say the chances of getting a ticket via a members card for all the big games will be nil. Plus we all know that tickets find there way into the hands of dubious people for all the big games and the real supporters lose out. In a nutshell that is why we have seven thousand new season ticket holders because it's the only way to guarantee a seat to all the games. I would be surprised if they like last season guarantee 5 matches and if they do you can bet it won't be for the big games. When and if the membership cards come out I would read very carefully what you are entitled to before buying one.

jammie82uk Posted 11 May 2014 Posted 11 May 2014 Trouble is it guarantees nothing. No where does it state that you will be entitled to a ticket by purchasing one. It was a good idea over the last ten years but with the amount of season tickets being sold this season and their right to buy a spare ticket I would say the chances of getting a ticket via a members card for all the big games will be nil. I agree It doesn't guarantee you a ticket but you stand a better chance being a member then not being one
PAPA LAZAROU Posted 11 May 2014 Posted 11 May 2014 I agree It doesn't guarantee you a ticket but you stand a better chance being a member then not being one I would normally agree with that 100% Jammie but I think this next season is going to be different on so many levels. For instance does season ticket holders right to but a spare ticket count above a membership card ? if so then given the amount of season tickets sold I would be surprised if there would be any left after they have claimed theirs. Does anyone know if season ticket holders have priority or not ?
billyn88 Posted 12 May 2014 Posted 12 May 2014 Had a look at the season ticket brochure while on the train down this morning. It doesn't say anywhere in there about ST holders getting priority on additional match tickets so I'm hoping a bit of common sense is used and they don't get any tickets on top of their own until it goes to general sale if they want anymore. It would be hard to justify buying a membership if I'm better off just asking my ST holder mates to get me a ticket when I need one instead. That said, I don't think ticket availability will be an issue at home apart from first game, last game, Derby if they come up and the big four or five. For popular games, I'm giving the TO way too much credit here, it would be nice to see some sort of members ballot introduced if the number of members is more than the number of tickets available. It really shouldn't be that difficult to implement and would save people a hell of a lot of grief on the phones and struggling internet site.

It should be enough that season ticket holders have their seats without being able to buy more before membership card holders, that seems only fair.
flintshirefox Posted 12 May 2014 Posted 12 May 2014 Had a reply from the Fanzone over the weekend regarding Memberships. "Thank you for your email. Memberships will be announced around July time please keep a check on our website for more information at www.lcfc.com Kind Regards Jim Jim Donnelly Supporter & Disability Liaison Officer On Behalf of Fanzone..." Cheers Jim!
billyn88 Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 Getting a bit concerned about this now - according to an e-mail I got a while back, match tickets are due to go on sale next week and still no word about memberships. I envisage a horrible free for all next week. I'm normally pretty good at high demand ticket situations but this isn't good timing with starting a new job next week, I don't think I've earnt the right to use the computer and phone in my first hour to try and get LCFC tickets!
Leicester Lass Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 FCC meeting on Thursday, I'll try and find out about memberships for you.
Stevosevic Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 I will be very annoyed if last year's members do not have priority to renew before new members.
jammie82uk Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 I will be very annoyed if last year's members do not have priority to renew before new members. As it seems you didn't read the perks of being a member when you brought your membership or read the post detailing the memberships on the previous page "Guaranteed option to purchase a 2014/15 Season Membership"

Thank you good man.
billyn88 Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 FCC meeting on Thursday, I'll try and find out about memberships for you. Thanks, much appreciated. I don't really see why it's taken so long - it's been a good while since the bulk of season ticket holder sales were done

Foxes_Trust Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 So true, can't believe there are still so many fans who don't think we need to expand We keep seeing these expansion comments, however few seem to be considering the practicality Any expansion is not achievable over the close season (even the slightly longer one we are having this summer) One stand would have to be closed for an extended period, where are all the fans from this area going to be located while the work takes place ? The only option to accommodate a current "sell out" crowd would be to play at the unused Ricoh for a period (at the start or end of a season)

I've seen it on several occasions where a stand is having a another tier added and the original stand has remained open. It's perfectly do-able.
Leicester Lass Posted 3 July 2014 Posted 3 July 2014 I am assured details will be released by the end of next week, and before matchday tickets go on sale. No comment about pricing. There will be a priority window for existing members to purchase before new members.
