Kids tickets too cheap?

Recommended Posts

I have an under 12 ticket for my son and we went to most home games last year and 6 away. My 5 yr old went to 5 home games. This year I have bought a £95 ticket for the under 12 and a £60 ticket for the 5yr old.Iknow they will be fans for life and we must bring the young to the games but.....how many people have got kids tickets, knowing they won't go to all the games? Depriving other supporters tickets. 5000 kids tickets is probably 1.5 million loss of revenue. I know this is a hard one as most sane people want the kids of leicester to support their local team but if tickets had been more expensive for the 5 yr old I probably wouldn't have bothered and would certainly have paid a lot more for the 12 yr old. What do others feel?

No ticket is too cheap. It's just the adult tickets are too expensive in comparison.

Too cheap? Think about what you're saying man.

I take it you mean season-ticket? If so, simple answer is don't get a season ticket for them.

But if people are buying a kids ticket to just upgrade to the man unt etc... Games then some 'genuine' fans may miss out

If you have kids ST in the family stand

And mid week games are too late for them

you will be able to relocate and upgrade them for a maximum of 2 games for adult tickets free of charge

With every kids ticket, comes at least one adult ticket. So to spin it the other way round you could say a kids season tickets costs a minimum of £390 (That's just for the JTT area) because if the child has a season ticket, the parent(s) do too.

My thirteen year old son has had a season ticket with me since he was 6. He has missed very few home games ( a few night games when 6/7/8) and he has gone to about 8 away games every year.

He is Leicester through and through.

I appreciate the reasonable price for his ticket as buying it on top of my own is definitely not cheap.

(As Bert has just pointed out above)

I know a geezer who used a kids season ticket last season.

Got stopped and told to upgrade twice in 23 games. Must have had the best value for money seat in the stadium.

lol Yeh tbf it's a method that works wonders if you're willing to risk it.

the cheap kids season tickets are there to convince parents to buy them, thus the parent then buys an adult season ticket to go with them. The club therefore get plenty of money from parents who accompany their children. Good business sense

Might be harder to get away with next season With N block changing to P block as there should be no reason why an adult is in the family stand without a child

Wow. Sorry to bump an old thread but this is just unbelievable and I've only just seen it.

I bought in the family stand so I could take the kids and it was a really decent selling point for me as I have under 10's that go and they go for free.

They didn't go to every game no, but I can tell you one thing, kids I know are interested in watching LEICESTER CITY, unlike nearly all the new season ticket holder adults who, unlike the families with children, won't be there if we are relegated.
