England V Peru Paper Plane.

The authorities are looking into it. They have 8000 square metres to search for evidence and have asked for overseas assistance.

Unfortunately after an extensive search of the vast area no aircraft can be found and the only "ping" they picked up was the one when it hit the players head.

It has been suggested that the disappearance of the aircraft may be down to just one person although a hasty cover-up has not been discounted as other events shortly after the last known sighting have probably contributed.

The plane was last spotted at an unusually high altitude for this type of aircraft, changing direction, banking sharply to the right and rapidly descending before impact. There are reports of a survivor of the crash but the authorities have not been able to establish any contact.

Police believe there is no connection between the disappearance of the aircraft and a brawl in the same area 24 hours after the incident although a gathering of 80,000 people is unusual.

Don't get why everybody is loving this. Not the first time it's happened, won't be the last.

It's not the first time a player has been struck on the head by a paper plane from the crowd? I can't remember it happening before.

Dunno I need to analyse every single game of football first.

Still don't get why it's doing the rounds but there you go.

Why wouldn't it do the rounds? It's a small paper plane, thrown from the top tier of Wembley, flies perfectly and then hits a player in what was otherwise an uninteresting game. Plus there's a decent video showing it all

Dunno, seems to have got more attention than the game itself lol

I can remember paper planes being launched into the pitch the day Villa beat us 5-0 at the KP. I also remember it happening at a Family Night Football but never hitting a player.

They weren't paper planes! They were the free Zoo magazines that everyone in the kop got given!

Paper planes are a sign that the England game you are watching is boring as ****.

Ok, paper based missiles. I'm pretty sure they weren't Zoo magazines though.

100% Zoo magazines. Everyone in the Kop got the first issue free attaches to their seat. When the 5th went in everyone lobbed them on the pitch.

I remember them being thrown during a fvcking boring match at home to Wolves in 02/03. Our atmosphere may not be great at the moment, but it has nothing on how awful going to games in that first season was.

I actually remember the atmosphere during the 1st season at the Walkers being brilliant at times, big crowds and plenty of noise. Certainly don't recall going down there being awful, in fact, far from it.

Maybe I was in the wrong part of the ground, but I only enjoyed Millwall that season and didn't really enjoy going at all until the N Block game against Cov, then L1 and SK1 from there.
