Fox in the North Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 I think Mexico have played some nice stuff but will struggle to beat Croatia to progress.
One Legged Beaver Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Ekotto doesn't look like he cares about his country either
BoneDog Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Cameroon could have won this with two great chances at the end. Golden opportunity for Hernandez, blazed it up up and away. Tough to hit hard and true at that pace though.
kingfox Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Decent performance from Mexico, passed it well, good link up play for the goal, while defensively they were solid, Marquez in particular 35 years of age, was an absolute rock. Cameroon were shit.

Cameroon were shit. Clueless yes, shit no. They showed some nice build-up play and threatened with some decent standard situations, but lacking the end product. I expect them to play a bit more on the adventurous and composed side against Croatia. Obviously the central defenders got found out today and I sense Finke will be ruthless with his changes for the next match.

I have to agree with kingfox (I need my head checked!), Cameroon were massively disappointing. What an incredibly naïve performance by them. Mexico had all the time and space in the world and that was in the Cameroon half! Terrible, terrible stuff and hardly any quality going forward. They'll crash out with 0 points.

Well the youth like me, like to use words like shit, instead of clueless I thought they were very bad, Eto'o nearly everytime was cancelled out by terrific defending by Marquez & Moreno, while the wide players in Choupo-Moting & Moukandjo didn't really get forward enough. Mexico passed well & pressed well, they basically suffocated Cameroon all over the pitch.
