Gary Eatfood Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 My thoughts entirely. Stone wall penalty. Good challenge, he ducked his head! I'd be gutted if that was given against City.
Haydos Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Does this mean I can run around the area trying to head everything and get penalties because anyone who challenges is doing something dangerous?
Gary Eatfood Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 I wonder what would happen if he was put with someone other than Sam Matterface considering he mentions his name in just about every other sentence. He needs to be told that the viewers are his audience, not the commentator. He'd be saying Clive every other sentence?
Haydos Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Good challenge, he ducked his head! I'd be gutted if that was given against City. Not only that, he's ducked in AFTER the defender's go for the ball. If anything he should be booked for causing danger to himself.
Gary Eatfood Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Not only that, he's ducked in AFTER the defender's go for the ball. If anything he should be booked for causing danger to himself. Ref got it right. Corner kick. What annoyed me most was Clarke Carlisle's indignation at it not being given.
Haydos Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 high foot by the mexican defender there and they barely mention it. So if RVP just stuck his head in there it would be a penalty? I just can't take some people's opinions on this sport seriously.
Jam Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 No penalty. It's Robben. Haha, I see what you did there. Decent enough first half. Weather definitely effecting the play.
Manwell Pablo Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Haha, I see what you did there. Decent enough first half. Weather definitely effecting the play. By this World Cup's standards it's been dire.
Bryn Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 This has been dire, both teams look like they're really struggling with the heat. Qatar is going to be GREAT.
MooseBreath Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Heat seems to be playing a big part in making this a very dull game. Can't wait for Qatar! If not all the way to penalties then I think this will be settled by one goal, probably resulting from a mistake born out of exhaustion. Christ Gareth Bale looks like the minciest gimp ever in that advert
Jam Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 By this World Cup's standards it's been dire. Yeah but I was expecting play like this from the start. We've been spoilt. There were a few chances and a couple of incidents of interest. Could be worse?
StanSP Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 This could be so much more entertaining but I think the heat is playing a massive factor. After the cooling break there was nothing exciting until Robben's penalty incident. It was just passing around and conserving energy. Robben should have had 2 penalties but it's karma for diving earlier I guess.
Kitchandro Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 This has been dire, both teams look like they're really struggling with the heat. Qatar is going to be GREAT. That's the only reason these cooling breaks have been brought in. 'It's alright folks, look, we'll have cooling breaks. The World Cup in Qatar will be fine'. Another pathetic and desperate act by FIFA. Good challenge, he ducked his head! I'd be gutted if that was given against City. That's fair but in that case they need to be consistent and stop giving free kicks in the middle of the park for high feet. Referees seem happy to stop the game at every opportunity unless it means creating a bit of drama by giving a penalty.
Gary Eatfood Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 O'neill agreeing with me that it was a penalty. Yeah, he was also incorrect.
Jam Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 I'm sure the second half will provide a few goals, i'm going to revise my prediction and go 1-1 and extra time. With Holland going through in ET.
Jam Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Yeah, he was also incorrect. Haha, not hearing it O'neill is infallable to me!

It shouldn't be given if the foot is below the neck. If you're putting your head there when someone's foot is approaching then it's your fault.
