Manwell Pablo Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 I read that in a German accent for some reason. FOR ZES THINGZ, YOU WILZ PAY IN ZE WORLD COP! EDIT: Ah you've just done that one (much better than I did)
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 FOR ZES THINGZ, YOU WILZ PAY IN ZE WORLD COP! That's ZE VURLD CARP to you.
ealingfox Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 Said it since the 70th minute of the Belgium game, but Mahrez plays and they'd still be in the tournament right now. 75 minutes in tonight he'd have won it for them and that's a fact.
MC Prussian Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 Could be a massacre if Germany start with that back 4 again and play that high against France. They won't, though. ZEY ARE WERY EFFISHENT ÄND ADÄPTABEL, SOSE GERMANS, JA! (Always end a sentence with the term "JA!" to emphasize the point you've just made)
Manwell Pablo Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 If anyone seriously thinks Mahrez would of made much difference .
lgfualol Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 Lovely from ITV, being played out by the guy that has annoyed me with his annoying song all tournament. I mean that and Adrian Chiles, I just hate ITV.
Guest MattP Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 If anyone seriously thinks Mahrez would of made much difference . It's become such a love fest I'm not even sure if people are being sarcastic anymore.
Buzzell Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 Ahhh well, ze Germans going through means my bet is still on! All I need now is for Belgium and Argentina to qualify.
Mark_w Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 Got to say, while I'm disappointed about Mahrez, I think the Algeria manager has done a really good job at this World Cup. Gutted they didn't make it past the Germans.
Alf Bentley Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 Who knows? Mahrez might have made a difference. I know the sub Djabou got Algeria's consolation goal, but he showed a real lack of calm before that - and the calm to play the killer ball is just what Riyad might have offered....maybe! Brahimi looked a good player for Algeria on that showing (accepting, of course, that it's stupid to judge a player on a single World Cup performance). An excellent game, yet frustratingly predictable otherwise. Algeria had enough chances and openings to have won that, but lacked the ruthlessness, for all the pace and high-quality passing they showed. I must say, though, after watching Germany and France today, I'm feeling pretty confident about my bet on a South American team winning the tournament. I reckon any one of Brazil, Argentina or Colombia would have beaten either France or Germany on that showing. Holland probably look marginally the best European side at the moment.
ScouseFox Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 yeah if we were to stop taking the piss for a moment i think we'd all admit that considering they were favourites to finish bottom of a relatively weak group they've performed really well.
AKCJ Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 yeah if we were to stop taking the piss for a moment i think we'd all admit that considering they were favourites to finish bottom of a relatively weak group they've performed really well. Although you would have to say they've benefited from lackluster Korean and Russian performances.
