Manwell Pablo Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Burton Div 2 for us this year, Pre Season started last night, and we have the enigma that is LD3 training with us. Contract talks continue.
Mikey Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 I know it's not Sunday football but I've started training with Heather. Playing my first friendly on Saturday against the reformed (from the old Hinckley United) Hinckley AFC. Probably won't end up playing for them though. Can't decide whether to play Sunday football as well or not.
Tevez Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 Alliance Div 3 this season, signed a few new lads, a minority of the old guard and the lads who wanted to carry on playing after last seasons minging campaign is the squad this season. Be interesting playing Union Inn, heard they were decent few seasons back.. Old Throops side. But it's going to be tough going to Leicester sides away and scrapping for wins. Oh and promoted with Sileby WMC on a Saturday in the NLFL. Got a Sileby derby to look forward to also.

Grandad. Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 A new team has started out in the Alliance Prem, Tomlin All stars. Sponsored and funded by Lee Tomlin Hope we draw them in the County Cup. Where are they playing? Not St Andrews?
Soar Fox Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 Hope we draw them in the County Cup. Where are they playing? Not St Andrews? I'm not to sure where they are playing mate, at a guess I'd say Aylestone Park. Union Inn is basically Throops/ Fairfield Dynamo minus a few of us. They will be playing at St Andrews.
Narborough_fox Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 Last year of youth football for me. One last year at Thurlaston as well, probably.
Tevez Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 How many of the old aths side are left? That was a good team. From the treble winning squad i'd say that there was 5 left mate. And we're in our 7th season now. Still not missed an Aths league or cup game in them 7 seasons!!
blueblood88 Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 A new team has started out in the Alliance Prem, Tomlin All stars. Sponsored and funded by Lee Tomlin What's funny about that? That's a decent thing to do for a professional footballer, fair play to the lad.
Grandad. Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 What's funny about that? That's a decent thing to do for a professional footballer, fair play to the lad. I'm guessing Walshy meant by 'funding' paying players to play on a Sunday..
SystonFox Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 I'm guessing Walshy meant by 'funding' paying players to play on a Sunday..yeah. Buying a league title in his local league. Where's the fun in that? It's just a bit odd
Bert Posted 10 July 2014 Author Posted 10 July 2014 A new team has started out in the Alliance Prem, Tomlin All stars. Sponsored and funded by Lee Tomlin My mate was supposed to be running them but Danny Gallagher wants to do it on his own.
Bert Posted 10 July 2014 Author Posted 10 July 2014 I'm guessing Walshy meant by 'funding' paying players to play on a Sunday..Don't think they're getting paid. Just that they won't have to pay any subs or anything etc, kits, balls, pitches all sorted through Tomlin.

Hmm I wouldn't be surprised if they have a League side and a Cup side, and that Cup side is getting a little bit of beer money mate.
Soar Fox Posted 11 July 2014 Posted 11 July 2014 My mate was supposed to be running them but Danny Gallagher wants to do it on his own.A lot of lads from Azzuri have signed for them haven't they? Signed for a division 7 team yesterday. That should be fun next season
