Sunday League 2014-15

Went to watch the last 25 minutes of the Quorn Royals FA Cup game, absolutely terrible Refereeing. The standard is getting worse.

A lad I work with was telling people he was playing in the Fa Cup this weekend for Quorn. I didn't know it was the FA Sunday cup lol lol

It can cost a club quite a lot of money if you get a home tie in it. Wouldn't bother entering if I was a club manager.

Who do you work with pal? Know all the Quorn lads pretty well, unless its a certain former Whitwick Compass player?

Yeah it cost Quorn an absolute fortune, the Quorn FC chairman charged them a fortune for the pitch and facilities..

When we were in it for Wymeswold we were fortunate enough to get Barrow Town for free, so that was a huge bonus and we were able to receive all of the gate, Barrow got the bar takings (which was a good amount) and also the burger hut there so they were weighed in as well. Good if you can play at a ground where you're on good terms, if we hadn't entered the Cup and then folded then I guess Quorn would of been better off playing at BTFC.

Ah sound, good lad is Phil. Very popular with the ladies..

Ask him what he used to do when he attempted to chat a girl up, when walking behind them! lol

Yes he is, been out with him a few times in town and on a stag do in Skegness. Women all over him.

A bit random, but I'm playing against a team from the same league as Shepshed Dynamo. I'm sure I've read something about that team on here and was just wondering about the standard of the league. It's the Midland Football League, Premier Div.

Cheers

Yeah good standard, who for?

We've got Catepillar rezzies in the second round of the county. Anyone?

Beat their first team the other week comfortably, they're a mixture of Ratby Sports and Western Wanderers (Eddie Dublin's side).. Not a clue about their ressies but I'm guessing they're worse. Should do them I'd imagine.

Depends, you get match grants, due to us having full access to all Ashby Ivanhoe's facilities if we were to enter we'd be hard pushed not to make money even on home games, just a shame we're far too shambolic to even think about it atm.

Lost 4-2 to Winshill Parish today (at St Georges Park, which is amazing) but giving their nailed on to go up, had their best team out with five subs and were able to bring a lad who was released from Derby off the bench, and we went 2-0 up, it's hard not to be happy with the improved performance, and it is getting better, slowly.

Someone on here must know something about FC Brtiannia of the LSL right? lol I know their top but that league has always been a bit weird when it comes to standard.

A few of the teams in my league play in the FA Sunday Cup, a couple always do well, one got to the final or semi a year ago, and we did the double over them that year. Couldn't believe it, maybe it was because I had an absolutely vile hangover both times. Any local Leicester teams do well in it?

Birstall Stamford got to the semi final of the FA Sunday cup a couple of years ago.

Manny - We played Leicester Bharat Talbot and on the pitch next to us was IRQA vs Leicester Bharat both teams were absolutely awful.

We won 8-0 yesterday, scored some ridiculous goals, bicycle kick and a volley, best i've seen. Teams tend to battle against us really well then flop when it gets to 1-0, 2-0. We have a hard game Sunday vs CFA in the CC Round 2.

Looking at their league their four points ahead of a Constabulary side we were too good for so you'll paste them.

Starting to wish we were in the Alliance League after that game, life in Burton Div 2 is difficult :-/

Lost 5-0 to top of the table Yoxall on Sunday. We were pretty poor yet again but we're supposed to be signing some footballing genius soon and hopefully Simo can get his house in order, for some reason we look much better with him in the side. Possibly could be looking at a couple of extra defenders too.

TS Sports in the 2nd round of the Junior cup Sunday, given their 2nd bottom of Division 4 (of 4) you'd like to think we might pick up our second win of the season but I put nothing past our lot lol

Haha can't believe I missed this! I'll take that as a compliment Manny lol

As you know I'm back now anyway  :D

Sporting Dynamo, Hinckley Prem

You know my cousin Daz Clarke then! Top defender!

We've got FC Topps of Hinckley division one in the county cup.

Any tactical advice? They've been pumping sides in that league so far.

Hinckley is often quite weak so wouldn't read too much into that.

Nice 8-2 win for us to see us safely through to the next round of the county cup this morning.

Have you played them yet?

We're joint top with them.
