Bert Posted 11 July 2014 Author Posted 11 July 2014 A lot of lads from Azzuri have signed for them haven't they? Signed for a division 7 team yesterday. That should be fun next season Don't really know the ins and outs mate, but Danny Gallagher is a quality player and he must know some quality lads too.
JJ73 Posted 11 July 2014 Posted 11 July 2014 New Teams: Caterpillar Sunday 1st Team and Reserves are starting training on Wednesday 16th July @ Caterpillar Sports Ground 7:00-8:30pm. If you are interested in coming along to training then please send me a message.

That should be fun next season You'll probably find you'll get more frustrated than anything else. I've seen many good players down in the lowest division of Sunday league football who just get dragged down to the level or can't get a pass to feet or get in the game. Depends on the rest of the team obviously.

Depends on the rest of the team obviously. Don't know what the rest of the team are like but they finished 9th in division 7 last year. I've only agreed to sign on for them as an old school friend and his brother are running it and asked me to help them out. I imagine the ball will spend most of the time in the air, completely missing out the midfield and some 17 stone middle aged bruiser steaming right through the back of me.
SystonFox Posted 12 July 2014 Posted 12 July 2014 always had some good, even battles against FC City Of Leicester. look forward to playing against you this season then Walshy! i am managing CSKA Carnabys second team. cant be much worse than the 9 points we accrued last term

What's the standard like down in that division and how many Mondays will I have to call in sick due to leg breaking tackles?
SystonFox Posted 12 July 2014 Posted 12 July 2014 It's hit and miss mate. You get some terrible players who are just laughable (anyone who plays in glasses can be found in div 7) yet some sides should be nowhere near div 7. Monsell WMC Res last season won the league and id imagine many of them should be playing at nearer div 1/prem standard. They didn't have one bad player and stuck 10 past most teams on a weekly basis
anotherharboroughfox Posted 12 July 2014 Posted 12 July 2014 Playing for Little Bowden next season after not playing since juniors finished. Not sure what I've let myself in for.
RonnieTodger Posted 12 July 2014 Posted 12 July 2014 Alliance Div 3 this season, signed a few new lads, a minority of the old guard and the lads who wanted to carry on playing after last seasons minging campaign is the squad this season. Be interesting playing Union Inn, heard they were decent few seasons back.. Old Throops side. But it's going to be tough going to Leicester sides away and scrapping for wins. Oh and promoted with Sileby WMC on a Saturday in the NLFL. Got a Sileby derby to look forward to also. Think we're in Division 3 again this year. See you there
tylesta Posted 12 July 2014 Posted 12 July 2014 Got a few offers this season but think i know who i'm joining (if they want me after a few friendlies).

Often the problem with the lowest division is that there are two or three teams who are new and fairly decent.
JimmyB Posted 13 July 2014 Posted 13 July 2014 Anyone else in the Alliance Prem this season? Just been promoted there with Fosse City with pretty much the same team that was in the 4th division 4 years ago. Could be a tough season ahead but the standard does seem to have dropped off in recent years.
SystonFox Posted 13 July 2014 Posted 13 July 2014 First pre season session this morning. 5 minutes into ball work and my leg crumples beneath me. Likely ligament damage for the second time on my left leg. Possible career over. Concentrate on management now then!

They didn't have one bad player and stuck 10 past most teams on a weekly basis They cant be that good based on their first team that won Div 5 with us a runners up and won div 3 last term. Their first team have got a top quality players but the rest are very average. I play for LDA and we are average and they never really rolled us over. Looking forward to being back in with CSKA first team next year in Div 2. Had some great battles over the years with them, always close encounters!
SystonFox Posted 13 July 2014 Posted 13 July 2014 I remember the first time I played against you a few years back. It was my first time captaining CSKA and I made a mistake for our first. We lost 3-1 at uplands. Revenge was exacted in the return leg we beat you 6-5 at Mossdale. Crazy gane

Alex_LCFC Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Looking to play for a team in the thurmaston syston area. If anyone knows or plays for any. Let me know please
Father Ted Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 Playing for Little Bowden next season after not playing since juniors finished. Not sure what I've let myself in for. They're w*nk with a few backwards lads when we played them a couple of seasons back.
Father Ted Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 Had a friendly last Sunday by the way, 4-0 up after 20 minutes and a lad from the other team has his leg completely snapped in half. Never seen anything like it before, complete accident too, just a clash of legs in which our player won the ball. Worse than Eduardo/Ramsey leg breaks, it was horrific.
JonesLCFC Posted 25 July 2014 Posted 25 July 2014 Looking to join a team this season as I'm back from Uni now. Pretty average and looking for an average team! Anyone need players?
tylesta Posted 28 July 2014 Posted 28 July 2014 scored and set 2 up in my first 45 minutes since febuary (rusty and achy)
Tevez Posted 15 August 2014 Posted 15 August 2014 AFC Bee's knees up first for the Aths, followed by Leicester KS on a Wednesday night. Buzzing
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 August 2014 Posted 15 August 2014 We've got Winshill Parish week Sunday. Premier League Springfield FC in a friendly Sunday, tough game but could do with it after 3 wins on the spin.
Grandad. Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Unfortunately my Sunday side, Wymeswold FC have wrapped up yesterday. Struggled for a side in the first two games of the season, bare 11 and then 12 players the week after, not the greatest of sides either we have had out, called the game off v Stanny last Sunday as we couldn't get a side and wasn't looking great for this weekend either. We're all absolutely gutted, can't rely on the old lads anymore and with young lads now choosing to stay in bed now on a Sunday morning because they've been out the night before not wanting to play Sunday football then there was no other option. We won have won the lot in the highest leagues, county cups, beat everyone in the County when the Leagues were full of good players and sides and played 3 seasons in the Sunday FA Cup. FC Poplar I think for a few us now.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Joint top of the league at the moment, won the last 3 on the bounce and lost our first to Lutterworth. However Lutterworth have been charged with field 4 unregistered players against us so that result will probably be wiped and the match replayed (bit pissed though because that's the game I scored in, on debut). young lads now choosing to stay in bed now on a Sunday morning because they've been out the night before Non-hackers, nothing better than hungover Sunday league football.
