RonnieTodger Posted 30 September 2014 Posted 30 September 2014 Nice 4-0 win for us over our recent bogey team Leicester Bharat Talbot. I was the poor sod who started in goal you smacked Bees Knees when both teams had a player sent off for handballing on the line. Your ground is awesome.
Manwell Pablo Posted 30 September 2014 Posted 30 September 2014 If anybody knows anyone who as antyhing to dowith anything to do with Humberstone 2000 I will gladly give them any information they want to know on Ashby Albions team

Where are there players from? Same with Measham Sunday aswell
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 October 2014 Posted 1 October 2014 Are Ashby Albion any good? Where are there players from? Same with Measham Sunday aswell Albion, no not really, we've probably got a better side than Ashby Albion although we managed to lose to them twice after leading last season, on one occasion we were 3-0 up and lost 4-3, before that we'd beat them three times in a row. Their all local to Ashby pretty much don't think any of them do Saturdays, you'd turn them over with ease. They've got that lad who used to play for us who liked to punch one of your players every time we played you. Meashem Sunday are a different prospect all together but if you go to the Tamworth Sunday league full time website they upload the teams so you'll be able to see who plays for them. Someone told me they've got a Coalville Town lad playing for them and a couple of ex and current Ivanhoe players.

Grandad. Posted 2 October 2014 Posted 2 October 2014 A fair few of us Wymeswold lads have now joined FC Poplar, well are in the process of going to Pop.
LCFC Rennie Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Currently play for Culcheth Athletic in the Warrington league. Just beat Appleton 3-2 from 0-2 down. Get in boys.
Bert Posted 5 October 2014 Author Posted 5 October 2014 9-0 win for my boys against Sporting Birstall today.
Father Ted Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Lost 10-1 today we played awful!! Only positive is I got a goal... Well played father ted whichever one u was ha xD Didn't play mate in the end! Won 4-0 vs Ashby Rovers today in Sunday Prem Cup.. tidy little outfit, young fit lads.
Father Ted Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Sunday football dying!! The smaller leagues haven't got many years left I don't think. Think my age or the year below have brought in a solid batch of players that transferred from juniors to sundays. Other than that there isn't many young players. I also think that certain league committee's dont help the situation, dinosaur opinions. Best thing about Alliance League they have a massive committee with younger people giving there thoughts, so refreshing. Whitwick Compass, Advance Couriers and now Wymeswold is a reminder that the biggest, longest serving successful sunday teams struggle too. Sunday Football is in massive trouble. Great post. LSL and CSL are dying.
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 We won 2-0 against the coppers. Hardly vintage stuff fromt us but we got the job done, in our early years we always made a good go of the County Cup and that's died down in recent years so pleased to get into the next round, just cross our fingers for a decent draw as I know the wrong draw could see us getting smashed . See Wilkos lot laboured to a 10-1 win, makes me wonder how they got the title of favorites with a result like that.

Bert Posted 12 October 2014 Author Posted 12 October 2014 Frustrating 4-3 loss in the Billy Walton cup today against a team from our division, LKS. 1-1 at half time, went 2-1 up straight after the restart. They levelled due to us not being able to clear the ball and then took the lead with the softest penalty ever. They scored again quickly to make it 4-2. Pulled one back to make it 4-3 and that's how it ended. Ref was awful, shout for a decision and you got it. Their keeper was class though, pulled of 6/7 top saves.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 Played against Bulls Head Whetstone today, let down by a couple of players meant we only had 10 men and we lost 3-2. They were poor and we probably should've won, couldn't believe they were 3 leagues above us, I know it's the cup but still.
RonnieTodger Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 Shit result against a good side in Aylestone Lounge. Plus side is our new kit is Leicester's away kit from last year.
SystonFox Posted 14 October 2014 Posted 14 October 2014 As in CFA? Judge meadow school based? Played them when they first joined alliance league in div 7 which they were far too good for and finished second to North Kilworth Res. Beat us 5-1 and 4-1 that season where we finished mid table. If they still have Jas khamkar he scores goals for fun, at any level. Plenty of good players. Ofcourse this is two seasons ago they could've changed but they are a well ran club and set up well with funding so I can only see them having got better
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 October 2014 Posted 15 October 2014 Anyone played Community Football Academy? Looking at their league their four points ahead of a Constabulary side we were too good for so you'll paste them. Starting to wish we were in the Alliance League after that game, life in Burton Div 2 is difficult :-/ Lost 5-0 to top of the table Yoxall on Sunday. We were pretty poor yet again but we're supposed to be signing some footballing genius soon and hopefully Simo can get his house in order, for some reason we look much better with him in the side. Possibly could be looking at a couple of extra defenders too. TS Sports in the 2nd round of the Junior cup Sunday, given their 2nd bottom of Division 4 (of 4) you'd like to think we might pick up our second win of the season but I put nothing past our lot
Bert Posted 15 October 2014 Author Posted 15 October 2014 We've got Catepillar rezzies in the second round of the county. Anyone?
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 October 2014 Posted 15 October 2014 We've got Catepillar rezzies in the second round of the county. Anyone? Didn't even know they had one Sunday side never mind two, doubt they'll be that good. FC Britannia for us of the LSL.
Tevez Posted 20 October 2014 Posted 20 October 2014 We've got Catepillar rezzies in the second round of the county. Anyone? Robby it's the old Ratby sports but moved grounds to Caterpillar. They were looking for players in the summer. We played a mix 11 and beat them comfortably. Won 6-3 vs Horse yesterday. Very scrappy game but got the job done. Ready for CC Round 2 now!
Grandad. Posted 20 October 2014 Posted 20 October 2014 Went to watch the last 25 minutes of the Quorn Royals FA Cup game, absolutely terrible Refereeing. The standard is getting worse.
pooleyLCFC Posted 20 October 2014 Posted 20 October 2014 We lost 4-2 in the FA Cup to a team called OJM from Birmingham. Ref wasn't great and we had 2 weeks earlier against Quorn Royals in the county cup and he was pretty poor then as well.
