Tevez Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Beat LKS 6-0. Played really well. Got them again next Sunday, same place in the County Cup QF
Tevez Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 LKS again in the County Cup Q/F this Sunday. Also drew Leicester Foxes in the Q/F of the EW Foster? Anyone played them yet?
Bert Posted 9 January 2015 Author Posted 9 January 2015 LKS again in the County Cup Q/F this Sunday. Also drew Leicester Foxes in the Q/F of the EW Foster? Anyone played them yet? They're decent mate. I'm sure someone said they won div 1 last season and got relegated! could be wrong but apparently plenty of moans they should be a prem team.
Bert Posted 11 January 2015 Author Posted 11 January 2015 Beat one of the apparent favourites in the county cup quarters today to progress to the semis of the sunday shield. They turned up thinking they were gonna smash us and ended up on the end of a 6-1 pasting.
SystonFox Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 4-0 up against Blaby United Sunday after 60 mins. Proper revenge mission as they stuffed us 10-1 in the reverse fixture. Game ends 4-4. Proper fuming I was. First team lost 5-2 to NPE. Not a great day for cska
JimmyB Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 They're decent mate. I'm sure someone said they won div 1 last season and got relegated! could be wrong but apparently plenty of moans they should be a prem team. Played against them last season in Division 1, they were pretty solid but not the sort of standard you'd normally expect to win that league in my opinion, must've been a particularly weak year. They were named leicester Foxes Old Boys, apparently folded and came back as Leicester Foxes with a similar squad! Whilst we finished 4 last year and ended up in the Prem!

Yeah I know a couple of there players, they will be hard and with it being a quarter final at stake it's a massive tie. We've got you boys if we beat Thurmaston Reserves in the Bill Walton on Sunday aswell.
FoxSince88 Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 I play for Leicester Foxes, We take the p*ss.

Soar Fox Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 I play for Leicester Foxes, We take the p*ss. You mean you bottle it and fold when you get in a harder division.

We've got you boys if we beat Thurmaston Reserves in the Bill Walton on Sunday aswell. They'll definitely bring out the big guns then! You guys are flying in the league, we'll be expecting a tough game if you get past Thurmaston. Think I remember a pre season friendly against your lot a few seasons back, still got many of the same players?

Think I remember a pre season friendly against your lot a few seasons back, still got many of the same players? Yeah I can remember, played you at Rawlins. You lot are a good side, good to see you mixing it up in the Prem. Erm side is not totally different but we've kept more or less the same core, we've got lads that are playing their 4th and 5th year and a few newbies. Looking forward to it (should we get through)

Looking forward to it (should we get through) We've got Thurmaston Firsts on Sunday, they were excellent when they smashed us 7-0 a few months ago. I'm hoping the ressies are keen on a cup run and draft in some top first teamers, then maybe we'll give them a decent game! Good luck!
JimmyB Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 Where do you go to join a team? As far as I'm aware The Alliance is the only league in Leicester with a decent forum that'll help you out. There's about 100 teams over 8 divisions so you should be able to find a team that fits your necessary criteria. http://allianceleague.topic-zone.com/f9-players-teams-wanted
goose2010 Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 Its a shame but I think our team will fold at the end of the season played for the last 10 years together, we just cant get players to turn up. We have the squad but not one cares and rightfully (I guess) they put everything before football. I play in the Hinckley and District league. Is it me or is everyone struggling I think we have only played again a team with subs twice this season!
JimmyB Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 Bring on Fosse City sunday! Excellent, should be a good game! I assume you'll be playing?
Maybes Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 Leicester Foxes for us on Sunday. We'll do well to field 11 again.
Tevez Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 Excellent, should be a good game! I assume you'll be playing? Unless we're short I won't be! I'll be the gaffer on the sidelines, come and say hello! Looking forward to it. (weather depending)
SystonFox Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 Leicester Foxes for us on Sunday. We'll do well to field 11 again. All the best. Our firsts were 5-4 up against them on Sunday but ended up losing 9-5. Not heard too many reports on the game but our best cb did his ankle ligaments and apparently the ref was shocking all game against us. Seemed to know Foxes are a "big team" and pandered to them from what I heard.
JimmyB Posted 22 January 2015 Posted 22 January 2015 Unless we're short I won't be! I'll be the gaffer on the sidelines, come and say hello! Looking forward to it. (weather depending) I'll say hello afterwards if we've won! See you Sunday.
Father Ted Posted 22 January 2015 Posted 22 January 2015 I see Berts lads have Aylestone Lounge in the semis of the County Cup, guaranteed finalist from the Alliance League, I bet they're proud and can't wait to get that orange flag out... If you have much about yourselves you should do them. We lost 3-1 but had a complete mare, keeper and main cb don't turn up from night before, top scorer goes off with a broken shoulder after ten minutes, other cb played with the flu and another left at ht, proper bare bones job and completely outplayed them. Hit the woodwork 4 times, missed 2/3 complete sitters and missed a penalty. Fuming after to be fair, worst refereeing decision Id ever seen at 1-1, our man through on goal, last man cynically hacks him down... Yellow card. As stonewall a red as you will ever see. *(refer back to my first paragraph) If you have good centre backs, you could contain their strikers I reckon. They've got a gobby centre midfielder who has a few bits and keeper very very steady. No players who particularly stand out but a solid unit as one and all of them know what they're doing. Good luck Bert.
Tevez Posted 26 January 2015 Posted 26 January 2015 Lost to Fosse 2-1 yesterday, wasn't much in it I have to say! Fair play to them, good side. (See reaction on Alliance forum!)
