Mack Posted 17 August 2014 Posted 17 August 2014 My cousin (27 years old) is coming to stay and wants to go out in Leicester. It will be a Tuesday night. He's not a little kid but would like to go to some bars / see some life. What do you goodly people recommend for me to take him to? Any decent bars / maybe a club with some life? Thanks in advance.

Samilktray Posted 17 August 2014 Posted 17 August 2014 Got turned away from Mosh for not looking 'studenty' on Tuesday night. Took it as a compliment to be honest.
Out Foxed Posted 17 August 2014 Posted 17 August 2014 God turned away from Mosh for not looking 'studenty' on Tuesday night. Took it as a compliment to be honest. I very much doubt that God would be spending his tuesday night at a shit club in Leicester.
Samilktray Posted 17 August 2014 Posted 17 August 2014 I very much doubt that God would be spending his tuesday night at a shit club in Leicester. The clowns on the door most definitely had a god complex.
sdb Posted 17 August 2014 Posted 17 August 2014 Back in the day Mosh Tuesdays were the best thing ever. Don't know if they still are.
lavrentis Posted 17 August 2014 Posted 17 August 2014 I miss the days when I thought Mosh was actually good. The freaks in Gaudi on a Friday, the repeated droning of the Strokes - Under Cover of Darkness and the weird times outside the main doors at 2am.
Mack Posted 17 August 2014 Author Posted 17 August 2014 Brauny gate maybe? I've heard there are a few bars down there. Anything stand out in particular?
Buzzell Posted 17 August 2014 Posted 17 August 2014 I've heard there are a few bars down there. Anything stand out in particular? Natterjacks and O bar.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that realises they play that Strokes song every bloody week
Leicester_Loyal Posted 17 August 2014 Posted 17 August 2014 Got turned away from Mosh for not looking 'studenty' on Tuesday night. Took it as a compliment to be honest. Their bouncers are complete bellends, worst I've ever come across.
ScouseFox Posted 17 August 2014 Posted 17 August 2014 i've been to mosh 3 times in my life and been knocked back twice. once for being too drunk and once like samilktray for "not looking like the right group of people for here tonight sorry". if they're like that to everyone every week i'd have to find a new place to go sharpish.

I take it you don't have a beard, your nose pierced and wear snapbacks indoors.
Guest Roper Posted 18 August 2014 Posted 18 August 2014 A night in Mosh is just a night spent moving from one floor to avoid a shit song, to another floor with a shit song. Coming from someone who lives in Cambridge (the clubs are ****ing awful) mosh is a shit night.
ScouseFox Posted 18 August 2014 Posted 18 August 2014 I take it you don't have a beard, your nose pierced and wear snapbacks indoors. nope i had a shirt and smart shoes on, the group of us did look very out of place not gonna lie. could've swept up the poon in there though (if it was worth it). tbf i think i'm always left a little underwhelmed by nights out in leicester because they're probably never going to be as good as here but it would help if half the places would actually let me in
FoxLAD Posted 18 August 2014 Posted 18 August 2014 I generally think the bars are better then the clubs in Leicester. No matter what night.
