crisp monster Posted 25 September 2014 Posted 25 September 2014 McArthur will obviously score for them after last month's shenanigans but I think we'll get a 1-1
KFS Posted 25 September 2014 Posted 25 September 2014 I dont think Zaha will start, he played 120 minutes on Wednesday Palace will probably line up as follows ................................Speroni............... .......Kelly............Dann........Delaney...........Ward ................................Jedinek .................Ledley......................McArthur .....Puncheon.........................................Bolasie ..............................Chamakh I hate to do this because this type of post has caused problems before, but I would only take 3 of them in our side. Ward, Kelly and Bolasie. That is of course on individual merit, I'm aware of your team quality and hard working ethic. As previously mentioned, this is going to be tight IMO. Still, a day to be enjoyed. After Sat this will be my most visited away ground.

I take it as a compliment you'd take 3! usually we get opposition fans coming on our forum and saying there isnt one player they would take We dont have any superstars but have some unsung heroes. Scott Dann is the best defender weve had at palace in 20 years, Ward was immense last season, Jedinek ran more miles than any other premier league player last season and made the most tackles, Ledley from Celtic is a good allround midfielder and I really like the look of McArthur, very tennacious player, all 3 are very good ball winners and I think it must be a horrible midfield to play against, Puncheon scored a lot of goals from out wide last season, Bolasie is a strange one, one week he looks a world beater, the next week he looks like a pub player. What we do lack is a top quality centre forward
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 September 2014 Posted 25 September 2014 This will definately be a tougher game than Man U at home 1-1 sounds about right
Freesolo Posted 26 September 2014 Posted 26 September 2014 I had a look at Palace possession in they first 5 games and its scary how much they give away even at home id say there average poss is 35% over the first 5 games, even there 3-2 win over Everton they had 25% possession the whole match. how can you have 25% possession and score 3 goals? dunno what this game is going to be like TBH doubt its going to be a walkover but i would be happy with at least a draw hopefully 2-0
leftsideoverhere Posted 26 September 2014 Posted 26 September 2014 So this is a game between two sides with sub 40% possession? The ref is going to see a lot of the ball... 3-2 Citeh.
FoxInBlue Posted 26 September 2014 Posted 26 September 2014 Crystal Palace 1 Zaha Leicester City 2 Ulloa, Vardy I think we'll be 2 nil up by half time but they'll get one back mid way through the second half with a bit of a nervy finish. Any team would be foolish to score first against us (excluding Chelsea).

They aren't too dissimilar. Having the ball means nothing, using it in the right way is everything and we're both teams who recognise that. Should be an interesting match.

Yea i have looked at ours too pal there negative but knowhere near the percentages that Palace are showing we are probably averaging low 40s against some tough opposition they are as low as 25% in some games probably averging 30 to 35. Going to be a interesting game as we are both teams that like to hit on the counter but i feel we have the better overall quality to come out on top but we are playing away so you never know. Be interesting to see what NP decides to do Formation and Team wise
Steven Posted 26 September 2014 Posted 26 September 2014 1-4. Drinkwater, Ulloa, Vardy and King off the bench.

You could defend like hell bang the ball forwards 3 times and win. Stats are a guideline nothing else.
Jakemoore Posted 26 September 2014 Posted 26 September 2014 1-2 to us! Vardy and Ulloa with our goals.
Guest Bilo Posted 26 September 2014 Posted 26 September 2014 The next two games are going to be very interesting. Firstly, these next two games will be the first ones of the season where we will be playing sides with similar aspirations to our own. No 5/1 or 10/1 odds about us in these two, no underdog status. These are the first ones where there is even a degree of expectation upon us, and it'll be good to see how we cope. Firstly, Palace are a team in the mould of Pulis and Warnock. This means that whilst their play will be about as attractive as a bin full of Katie Hopkins' used tampons, they will be set up to be tough to beat, combative and the home support will be vociferous. It'll be a tough old trip, very like the Championship, and a completely different test to those presented by Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea. I predict a turgid 1-1 draw.
