Rincewind Posted 14 April 2015 Posted 14 April 2015 The house we had had money spent on it with improvements. The neighbour had not.I'm not saying they should pay more only it seems unfair as we would have to pay again for the improvements. How would you feel? I see where you are coming from but it seemed annoying at the time.Although I was not directly involved with the sales talk. There may have been other factors. I just remember my mum citing the above as a reason. Two people doing the same job.One does all the work the other sits on a chair all day posting on Foxestalk. The one that does the work is paid less. Is that fair?
MooseBreath Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Two people doing the same job.One does all the work the other sits on a chair all day posting on Foxestalk. The one that does the work is paid less. Is that fair? Well at least the one who is paid less gets given a house worth £150k for about a fiver. More fool he who tries to earn his own money.
Rincewind Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 I don't follow. That's not a Tory viewpoint.I thought you believed people should work hard for their money and are rewarded better? I must add my step-dad was a staunch Tory in those days. Read the Mail cover to cover. Believed all the stories about immigrants etc. and if it was a Labour council selling off the houses he'd moan even if it was the best deal ever.He was similar to some on here. If i tried to point out inaccuracies he'd say something like 'Well it's here in black and white so must be true' ignoring the fact that the Mail is slightly right to the left as are its readers. I gave up in the end. But I suppose they had to value the house as it was and because of the improvements, if reselling it would fetch a higher price. I can see both viewpoints.
MooseBreath Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 I was just playing along with your ridiculous analogy, ken.
Guest MattP Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Not voting is making a point. Its a boycott off the election system. Like when fans miss a game in protest. If we had the lowest ever voting turnout in history it will be a good thing as shows most people are sick of the same old crap and would of embarrassed Westminster to the rest of world. Its forever really only been labour or cons and nothing over all changes. So **** the vote and if your so blinded by it all that you think your vote changes things then good luck to you. Give a chicken free roam they think there free but there still going to end up on your plate at some point like the rest of them. Lets just make it easy and become communists There is a party out there for you mate.
Guest MattP Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 The chairman of the mail a viscount pays no tax as his business is not registered in the UK. He is also a personal friend of Cameron The Mail is registered in Bemuda. Which party do you think they support? Will it benefit the chairman/owner to publish stories that put the Cons in a bad light? They do, on a regular basis. I concur. Was reading the Mail a couple of weeks ago whilst waiting to have my hair cut and I was amazed at the vitroil thrown at David Cameron through a lot of it and the amount of columnists who were savaging the Conservative party. You get the feeling the ones who talk about the Daily Mail the most are the ones who never actually read it. or are still stuck in some late 90's/early 2000's stereotype of the paper. I've found the Express to be everything people say the left say the Mail is.
MooseBreath Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 The 15 worst sentences in the Labour manifesto http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/ed-miliband/11536108/Election-2015-The-15-worst-sentences-from-the-Labour-Party-manifesto.html "We will create a whole-person approach" "Labour has always believed everyone should have access to nature, whoever they are" "One of our first acts in government will be to conduct a wide-ranging review of Britain's place in the world" I don't know whether to laugh or throw up. Especially the nature one, I actually felt like I'd been homosexually molested after reading that.
Guest MattP Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Looks like hippies have been at that manifesto as well. A wide ranging review of Britain's place in the World, can they not just do that now and tell us what they intend to act on after it before the election?

A wide ranging review of Britain's place in the World, can they not just do that now and tell us what they intend to act on after it before the election? Labour's Wide-Ranging Review of Britain's Place in the World by Ed Miliband Chapter One We appear to be just north of France. The End.

I've just been a little bit sick in my mouth
The Doctor Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Today in Gallowatch: https://twitter.com/georgegalloway/status/587952301689667584 Accuse your opponent of being an Israeli shill even if she's been quite an ardent supporter of Palestine. This is getting beyond a joke now.
Guest MattP Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Galloway Has a man ever based a campaign to be elected pretty much exclusively on religion? I can't blame him though, he was dead and buried and now he's right back in the game according to the polls. Just listening to the UKIP manifesto - this is almost on the level of an SNP lurch to the left in a lot of policy, I know they want to expand their appeal but they must be in danger of losing their core support. It's mostly been about piling money into the NHS, a huge push on Animal Rights and providing a obscene amount of help and support for the homless and those usuing food banks. If they were called something else Ken would be voting for them.
Guest MattP Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Fair play to Nick Clegg "We'll add a heart to a Conservative government or a brain to a Labour one"
Alf Bentley Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Fair play to Nick Clegg "We'll add a heart to a Conservative government or a brain to a Labour one" I thought he was just keen to add an arsehole to whichever would have him?
The Doctor Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Clegg taking the Wizard of Oz approach Well of course they weren't going to be adding the courage to either of them... Galloway Has a man ever based a campaign to be elected pretty much exclusively on religion? I can't blame him though, he was dead and buried and now he's right back in the game according to the polls. Welcome to Bradford, where it's all about religion. He's also been on the warpath against some chap for suggesting Iran might not be being entirely honest about this not building nuclear weapons thing: "How can a man named mohammed not be anti-Israel". Ironically being far more racist than he accuses Naz Shah of being...
EnderbyFox Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Pretty sure Sol Campbell has lost his marbles https://twitter.com/SolManOfficial/status/588300236675743744
Finnegan Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Is that Carl Pilkington photoshopped on to a black body?
Guest Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Are there any of the trenchant voters on this thread who COULD possibly change their vote?
Darkon84 Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 He's actually lost it. We all saw it coming, and we just let it happen
EnderbyFox Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 If only Sol Campbell would've thought of powdering his face up sooner, could have been England captain

The Mail would be attacking Caneron for not being far enough to the right. It's more in UKIP territory than Tory and most certainly doesn't give Labour a fair hearing.
lgfualol Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 I dont know who I will vote for, they all seem like twats. I did a test and got Green party but apart from a few okay points they're nuts.
