Everyone thinks nugents shite, how the hell is he overratedm, lol

Well he was overrated for a time.

Could put Danny Simpson as a lot of people keep calling for him to start despite one average sub appearance.

Beckford was the only one where there was a debate to be had because he wasn't binned off immediately and had a six week purple patch where he scored a lot of goals.

I think people realised pretty quickly that Mills was a dud. His two footed lunge at Birmingham to get sent off in October was proof positive that he wasn't up to it.

The likes of Hume and Stearman always tried hard and were the best of a bad bunch.

Schmeichel, Nugent and Konchesky were all great signings by Sven. Just a shame the rest of them were dreadful.

Ironic you should bring up the Mills sending off at Brum within this thread. As that was actually another Kasper **** up (back in his Teflon days of 2012) when he was at the corner flag producing a shit clearance Mills felt he had to dive in to protect the empty net.

In much the same way Kasper nearly made Morgan look shit at Swansea and did make him look shit at qpr and on Tuesday. How can centre backs defend with confidence with that liability behind them?

Each to their own, keep arse licking Kasper if you wish, but people are rapidly beginning to find him out and you're in the minority now "pal".

Hamer has had an operation on his hand since the Stoke game.

I'm not clear on how well he has recovered but if he is available and 100% then i think he should be given a chance.

I'm not in the minority at all, I think he should be dropped - I called him out on here for Burnley, QPR and Liverpool.

But the fact that you're using a poor clearance from Schmeichel as an excuse for a two footed horror tackle from captain fantastic goes to show that you're looking for fault where little exists. As I recall it was actually a poor touch from Mills which caused him to want to lunge in.

You might not think he's any good, and he might not be, but calling him one of the most overrated players of the last 20 years was ludicrous. At the very least he's a good championship keeper who some people thought could be a good premier league goalkeeper. At the moment he's proving those people wrong and in my view should spend some time out if the starting XI for the good of the team.

Compare that to the League 1 standard bilge in my list who people thought would be good enough to get us promoted.

Unless Kaspar has improved dramatically since his days at Bury/Notts Co, then he's nowhere near as good as Conrad Logan. Possibly more technically gifted, but Conrad - at League 1 level anyway - has been outstanding.

A keeper makes a mistake and invariably it results in a goal. That can't always be said of a striker who fluffs his shot or any other outfield player who makes a wayward pass.

I'm surprised to some extent that NP has changed keepers as he seems to have changed most positions so far this season.

Now that Aguero is out this Saturday let's bring in Hamer and see what he's made of. There is absolutely no point in having players on the bench who rarely get an opportunity such as Logan did over the years.

If we can get kasper to perform like we're already losing, right from the start we will have a fantastic keeper. Right noe he doesnt seem to have that natural motivation.

Love how everybody is an expert on goalkeeping now. He makes very few errors and is constantly put under pressure by the back four and the team as a whole. But apparently now everybody knows exactly when goalkeepers should come out and collect a ball, where they should stand and how they should balance their weight, and which shots should definitely be saved and which shouldn't, despite the fact that it's the one position on the pitch that the majority of you have no real grasp of. Most of the "mistakes" people talk about are examples of them simply not understanding what it's like to be an 11-a-side goalkeeper at any level, let alone against the higher quality opposition that we get in the prem. Even the best football pundits do it; creaming over routine saves while letting unspeakably good ones go unnoticed, responding with amazement when a goalkeeper uses the only hand he could have used to save a shot because they don't understand the dynamics of diving, and blaming goalkeepers for mistakes that either came at the end of a long sequence of errors by the rest of the team or that weren't mistakes at all. Everybody knows the the goalkeeper's job better than he does apparently.

Leicester fans already showed how clueless they were about goalkeeping when in 2011 they started booing Ricardo and repeatedly chanting "Weale" during every match Ricardo was playing. I am amazed anybody wants to play for us tbh, especially goalkeepers. If I was Kasper I'd have told you all to **** off by now and moved on.

end of the day kasper has kept us in games its the midfielders and the defence that's causing teams to get so many shots on goal!!!

All I want to comment on is that were shit at defending corners and free kicks that's where most of our goals conceded have come from so we should be looking at sorting that out!!

Good shot stopper but poor at most other things.

Should be dropped

Thought this last season as well. He does not command his box, is useless at crosses and his distribution is terrible.

It may be argued that shot stopping is the main role of a keeper and yes this is his best attribute, but he is so poor at the other aspects that I feel his shot stopping is not enough.

A real shame, as he seems a nice bloke that is always passionate.

Just not good enough, sorry Kasper.

all i want is him to "STOP... OOOFING... THE... ****ING... BALL!"

we don't have the ball, we cannot win... it is THAT simple

It's either kick it up field or roll it out for the defence to give it away in his own half. :D
