Both did well but to suggest King had a better game than Mahrez is astonishing. I'd bet my life you could buy every single national newspaper tomorrow and Mahrez would have a higher rating. He was terrific again.

Again? So when was he terrific last then?

Set the goal up at Villa, set the goal up against Liverpool. Playing pretty well especially when you consider how poor we've been.

I give up with this site.

nigel please stop using mahrez as a right full back, i'm getting sick of this. he is so useless in this position with a defending team. can't understand peapole giving him 7 or 8, he was just average ( and i'm algerian !)

cambiasso was class

drinkwater should never been droped from the squad again.

Oh you mean the deflected daisy cutter against villa that Guzan would have ate if not for said deflection.

Yeah, what a silly boy Mahrez is having a dribble and a shot that ended up in a goal.

Let's hope he stops doing that

The shot was terrible luckily it got deflected.but if you want to revel in mediocrity Go ahead.

Do you understand that in football sometimes if you shoot, there's a lucky bounce, bobble, deflection and it results in a goal? He's the only player that bothers to shoot these days.

Posted

That's cause he's a greedy tosser,he doesn't know when to pass the ball either.what about Jeff Schlupp he shoots.

Did you see MOTD a few minutes ago? Our only shot was from Ulloa. And guess who passed the ball to him.

Schlupp usually shoots the ball out of the ground bless him.

Mahrez was decent until he got nobled by both Nasri and Clichey. after that I thought he went quiet. He should know by now that it's a team game and pass the ball before he loses it.

Majority getting 6 this week. Mahrez gets a 7, his decision making let him down at times but he's got as much natural ability as anyone I've seen at Leicester in years and it's amazing how some don't see that. Most of the defence were lowered to 5 for their goal. Subs all get N/A though that's probably generous as once again they were largely ineffective. At least they were all ambitious subs.

Pearson gets a 6. I think he got it pretty right today but it's hard to rate him too high when we've lost, not scored and not given their keeper enough to worry about. The players let him down again I think, the subs didn't really do enough but you can't knock his intent in any of them. Man City get a 7, I didn't think they were brilliant but they played some very nice stuff at times. I expected better but they were still very good. Ref gets a 3 though I ought to start putting these higher as its quite clear the average standard of a referee is clearly something the inept FA don't give two shits about, the utter wankers.

Pearson stays. The players are on his side, the fans are largely on his side and I'd like to think the owners will be in January. He played the right team and was once again let down by silly mistakes that he can hardly be accounted for. The reality is, Man City will beat far better sides than us and they'll do it more comfortably. We did not do badly at all in the game, but it's relativity, this is the price you pay for losing to shit like Villa & QPR. If Pearson has a plan to sort this squad out in January then he's got my backing, and I'm pretty certain he will have.

On the whole a good performance, but poor finishing. Ulloa is our only good finisher, no one else had a shot on target. If we really need a 5 man midfield we should look at 352 rather than 451.

Set pieces poor again but Cambo delivering better than James. Upson is good in the air and I would like him to take Was place soon.

I cannot understand the good scores for Knockheart. He was a real twat about the free kicks. Hugged the ball like a selfish 12 year old.

Schlupp was poor, Mahrez better when switched to the left.

Man City were visible tired. Yaya Toure was hobbling from the start, and they were without any real strIker. Pozo was useless. Losing Kompany to a recurrence of his hamstring will hamper them too.

Very harsh on Knockaert; what do you expect the lad to do? He's barely been given a sniff this season, comes on and wins himself a free kick. The free kick is from a position he scored from last season. We are chasing the game. He's desperate to win his place in the team. He did what every pro footballer should do.

Hamer 7 - from my angle the save from Toure in the first half looked very good. His kicking was suspect at Stoke and remains so, but that seems to be his only real weakness based on his two appearances so far.

Simpson 7 - goes about his business well, particularly defensively. More accurate than De Laet with his passing and when he did get forward his couple of crosses into the box weren't too bad.

Wasilewski 6 - thought he was the better of the two centrebacks, although he needs to stop with the passes that bypass the midfield and inevitably go out for a goal kick or through to the keeper.

Morgan 5 - think he seems to be suffering in confidence at the moment, he is better on the ball than what he's showing at the moment. Looked iffy defensively but wasn't all that poor.

Konchesky 5 - when our passing game clicks like it did at times yesterday, he gets shown up for the lack of quality he has on the ball. Too many simple mistakes.

Cambiasso 8 - thought our midfield three were all excellent, but Cambiasso was the clear leader of the three. Yes he put in a couple of poor deliveries from set pieces but this was more than made up for by his work in the middle.

Drinkwater 7 - delighted to see him back in the team, really hope he can maintain that level of performance.

King 8 - really pleased to see him actively get involved in the game and in the forward play. His passing seemed very accurate and he did more than most to drive the game forward.

Schlupp 6 - decent performance, was solid in his general link up play but didn't offer that much in terms of creativity, which is required for the role he was playing yesterday.

Mahrez 7 - played his part well in linking up play with the other midfielders and did a very good job at driving things forward. Not a man of the match display but some moments of serious quality.

Vardy 6 - started the game like a man on a mission and there were glimpses that we could see another United-esque performance. Unfortunately he faded but I think he serves that role better in that system than Ulloa could.

Ulloa 5 - I was worried his introduction would lead to us abandoning our short passing game and so it proved to a degree. He held up play reasonably well but it seemed to slow our attacks down more than anything.

Powell 4 - still not seen enough of him to judge his actual ability but hardly made a positive impact at all when he came on

Knockaert 5 - not his biggest fan but thought he did ok in the short time he was on. Too desperate for the limelight at times which always happened when we were on TV on the Championship and is only going to continue while we are in the Prem.

Pearson 7 - glad to see he's still willing to adapt his system where necessary, and I think it worked yesterday. With our lack of quality compared to most in this league, I think we have to play the midfield three just so we can restrict any creativity the opposition midfield has. Just need to tighten up that defence and perhaps find a striker in Jan who is more suited to that lone man front role. Feel at this level Vardy's assets may be best used as one of the wide men in the front three.

Nige 7 and obviously stays.

Hamer 7 - good

Simpson 6 - steady enough

Morgan 6 - don't let him turn and run at you wes

Wasyl 7

Konch 6 - shaky at times but part of a solid defence

Mahrez 7 - if he'd played the first half twice would've been about a 9. faded though.

Cambiasso 8 - MOTM, superb in everything he did

King 7 - better than james at mopping up and keeping it simple. adds to the side.

Drinkwater 7 - tidy

Schlupp6 - ineffective for the most part, one or two half decent surges

Vardy 6 - huffed and puffed but no real quality.

Man City 4 - thought they were crap

Ref 2 - being kind

Would not of rated konch or Wes that high silly defence errors leading to goals.. Agree with midfield thought they was great and glad to see kingy and drinkwater back - def should be in starting 11 every week

Like take the penno at Watford?

Thought kingy and drinky played great and the difference showed not sure why they ain't started every game def should be in every starting 11!

Yesterday was a better day than recent games there was atmosphere and the team performance was better overall. I think midfield wise we are ok and in jan should look at strengthening the defence as many goal are given away by silly errors from them and get a proven premier league striker. I still don't think there is any need for major panic just yet!!

John Moss would have gotten a 1 from me even if he'd have had a great game. He is such a piece of shit. But the fact is he earnt that 1 yesterday.

I though pretty much everyone played well - bar Morgan, Ulloa and Powell.

Encouraging performance but it doesn't put me in a better mood. It's still looking bleak.

A lot of good but unspectacular performances today, so gave quite a few a 7.

Cambiasso & King I thought were outstanding though, so an 8 for both of them

Did King play today? I can't remember him doing anything.

A positive performance. We looks relatively solid which is encouraging and still created chances. We are a clinical striker away from picking up some points.
