Number 6 Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 Thought Hamer's distribution was excellent too. Some reverse clearances, short effective throws and arrow-like kicking. Impressed.
Ian S Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 This. Beating 3 men is great but if all you do is try and beat another and lose it, or pass the ball to someone who has 2 men on them and not move for the return ball its all pretty pointless. People seem to want him to be amazing so much, they completely overlook his many flaws the worst of which is his greed. We had them pinned back with many options open right at the end and instead of picking one, he tried to skin 5 people, lost the ball and set up a counter attack for them. Agreed I don't get the Mahrez love in at all,he is clearly talented but I do not think we will be much weaker when goes off in January
Dickov22 Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 Agreed I don't get the Mahrez love in at all,he is clearly talented but I do not think we will be much weaker when goes off in January Goodness me. He's about the only player who's created chances, and has set up our previous two goals. ARE YOU BLIND
Steve Earle Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 Hamer - 6. Did nothing wrong. How good was it to see a goalkeeper trying to command his 6 yard box? Huzzah! Simpson - 5. Much better than last week. But the goal? Morgan - 5. Much more like his old self, but not quite there. Wasyl - 5. Not the complete bag of shite we saw last week, but a liability in possession. Did anyone lese see the moment in the second half when he found a royal blue shirt? Konch - 5. As good as Konch gets. Which isn't premiership, or even close. Mahrez - 7. A player. Drinky - 6. Grew in to the game. Not there yet. Cambiasso - 7. Two corners and the goal away from an 8. King - 7. Welcome back Kingy! Schlupp - 5. Infuriating, as ever. Vardy - 5. Meh. Ulloa - 6. Fitness permitting, plays every game from the start. Powell - 4. What's up? Trying too hard? Knocky - 6. Nice cameo.
fleckneymike Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 I always find who scored excellent for assessing what players did. The chalkboard function is brilliant http://www.whoscored.com/Matches/829656/Live
maddog Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 6s and 7s for all bar 8s for Esteban, Drinkwater and Schulpp who I thought offered some great runs and direct attacking threat.
smiggy6773 Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 6 and 7s for most. 8 for Esteban. I'll agree with your comment. I thought Cambiasso had a solid game, apart from his corners!! Looked fitter as well
kingcarr21 Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Cambiasso MOTM for me by a country mile. Some of his passing was great. Shame his corners werent as good. King played well. Hamer had a good game but had hardly anything to do. Such a shame we conceded a shit goal. Fully deserved at least a draw. We matched them man for man.
Guest MattP Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Hamer - 7. Was wonderful to see a keeper coming for a cross! Did everything he had to well. Simpson - 5. Thought he was partly at fault for the goal and offers nothing going forward. RDL back when ready. Morgan - 6 Better display, although not hard given recent performance. Wasyl - 6 As above. Konch - 6. Fairly solid defensively but he often loses possession a bit too easily when we go forward. Mahrez - 7. Terrific on the ball, has more talent than all our other wingers put together. Drinky - 7. More like the old Dinky. Cambiasso - 8. Superb. At the heart of everything, the free kick was absolutely fantastic. King - 6. Did all the simple things well but would like to see him try a few more dangerous balls and create. Schlupp - 6. Nothing really going forward but no ludicrous cock ups this week that cost us a goal. Vardy - 7 - Some harsh ratings here. Up front on own v Kompany and Mangala, nightmare task for anyone, relieved the pressure on us endless times chasing lost causes. Unlucky not to score when skinning Mangala. Ulloa - 5 Looked off the pace. Powell - 4. This guy just looks bloody awful. Knocky - 7. Happy to start him over Schulpp next home game.
Silverdaz Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Schlupp was great today, followed by Mahrez but I though all the fron three gave city problems
Dickov22 Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Schlupp was great today, followed by Mahrez but I though all the fron three gave city problems Which City? Don't fall Into the national media trap of referring to Man City as 'City' please. Especially when your own team are a 'City'. So annoying
Harry - LCFC Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Which City? Don't fall Into the national media trap of referring to Man City as 'City' please. Especially when your own team are a 'City'. So annoying Trap? I know people don't like to hear it but if there's a club out there who deserves that name it's Manchester City. The reason being is that they're in a city with two clubs and that they're the biggest club with that name. I never call ourselves city, always Leicester. I think we lose a bit of uniqueness by referring to ourselves that way, there are too many of them about.
Ian S Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Goodness me. He's about the only player who's created chances, and has set up our previous two goals. ARE YOU BLIND Far from it,as I said he is clearly talented, however chooses the wrong option time and again, insists on beating his man at least 3 times before offloading by which time the defence is set and the less said the better about the assistance he has given our right backs this season. Showed touches of great skill on Saturday but no end product, had a couple of great opportunities to play colleagues in but held onto it,lost possession in a very dangerous position and got a telling off from Cambiasso but let's just concentrate on a couple of minutes where you were probably drooling. I for one am not too gutted we will look at alternatives in January, he still has potential but I am not convinced he can hack it long term at this level. Ps he has also taken tackling lessons off Gallagher. Just my opinion and I accept many disagree.
artursteppe Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Cambiasso, best player on the pitch by a country mile. Mahrez, King, Drinky, Was and Simpson all good, others OK. No-one was bad. Pearson, better. First time he has put out the right team and use of subs this season. Maybe there is hope.

But when our own fans do it. Cringe.
Marie84 Posted 17 December 2014 Posted 17 December 2014 I see King got the sponsors MOTM. I am a massive king fan and although I'll admit he prob was not I will say he had a good game, he's been made to sit on the bench for a few so was great to see him playing and for me he would be in my starting 11 every week.
