MC Prussian Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 Been missing for two weeks now - hasn't reported back to training at Querétaro: http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/114/mexico/2014/12/21/7288012/queretaro-hands-ronaldinho-ultimatum-camilo-out-for-season
Soar Fox Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 You've made it sound like he's been kidnapped. Hes probably back in Brazil partying with models.
Dan Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 His decline's been unreal really. It's a shame he was only really at his peak for about two seasons because if he'd maintained it longer he would've been considered up there with the likes of Pele I think. Amazing talent.
Stuliasz Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 His decline's been unreal really. It's a shame he was only really at his peak for about two seasons because if he'd maintained it longer he would've been considered up there with the likes of Pele I think. Amazing talent. Agreed, some of the stuff he could do was unreal but couldn't replicate it over a whole career unfortunately. This sticks in my mind as one of the most ridiculous goals I've ever watched at the time it happened:
Dan Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 it's so ridiculously good you have to laugh. He had absolutely everything you could want from an attacking player.
ScouseFox Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 probably the best player ever to play the game
Soar Fox Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 probably the best player ever to play the game lol
ScouseFox Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 lol ? nobody has ever played the game possssed with that much natural talent. if you can name someone with as much skill as him i'll give you a friggin rep point
ScouseFox Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 he's comfortably the most enjoyable player i've ever wwatched play the game. i doubt anyone will ever be better.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 His decline's been unreal really. It's not been that bad, has it? If anything it's been quite slow / natural. Went back to Brazil as his career was winding down and did really well, it's hardly like he's playing terribly at Sunday League level.
ScouseFox Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 tbf when you are comfortably the best player to ever play the game any decline is going to be "unreal"
Jordan Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 Ronaldinho needs to go play beach football already. This way, he won't have to run much anymore, he can just play a pure technique game, and he won't have to leave his team to party on the beach because he'd already be on the beach.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 You see kids on the streets with skills like Ronaldinho, what was impressive about him was how he could do it all on a proper sized pitch and influence/win games doing what he did.
Buzzell Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 His goal against Chelsea was amazing Brilliant goal.
Danizen Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 ? nobody has ever played the game possssed with that much natural talent. if you can name someone with as much skill as him i'll give you a friggin rep point Zidane.
Soar Fox Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 ? nobody has ever played the game possssed with that much natural talent. if you can name someone with as much skill as him i'll give you a friggin rep point Zidane, Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi
Jordan Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 Agreed, some of the stuff he could do was unreal but couldn't replicate it over a whole career unfortunately. This sticks in my mind as one of the most ridiculous goals I've ever watched at the time it happened: That goal... With Ray Hudson commentary Other posters may have a point about other players (albeit just a handful of all-time greats themselves) that has just as much technical ability as Ronaldinho had, but Ronaldinho always seemed to do it with that much more flair. What a great entertainer.
AKCJ Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 I remember watching that Chelsea game and I think it was the first time swearing in front of my Dad. "HOW THE **** DID HE DO THAT?" Which was quickly followed up by a slap around the back of my head
ScouseFox Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 oooh zidane is a good shout but still nah. Ronaldinho regularly did things with a footy nobody else could even think of trying. he got a standing ovation from his biggest rivals fans after he'd just taken the complete piss out of their team. he was a genius.
whoareyaaa Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 I'd agree with Scousefox, at his peak there isn't anyone who could do what he did with a football he was a pleasure to watch, difference with Messi and Ronaldo is that they are consistent and are at two of the biggest clubs in the world.
HEGGSY Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 2 questions. 1. Would any of you take Ronaldinho at Leicester now? 2. Who would you rather have in your team, Ronaldinho in his prime, or CR7/Messi?
Soar Fox Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 2 questions. 1. Would any of you take Ronaldinho at Leicester now? 2. Who would you rather have in your team, Ronaldinho in his prime, or CR7/Messi? I'd have Llyod Dyer at Leicester right now. Honestly I'd have Cristiano Ronaldo, for me he is the complete footballer. Pace, Strength, heading, goals and tricks.
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 The best player ever to play the game was Maradona I think. Remember this was back in the day of poorer pitches, crappier boots, tougher tackles and all that. The second goal he scored against England, I just sat there and said "has he just done that"?
