Amin Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 Awesome day at the circuit today . Watched the GP2 race start from just behind the barriers on the start finish straight . Walked a lap of the track this afternoon , then saw Sir Frank Williams and met Valteri Bottas The start was a bit farcical wasn't it? Do you know why Gasly had to start from the pit lane, while the other stallers got to start from the grid? Must have been an epic experience.
isaidno Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 Couldn't here the commentary . Took a long while to get the race started.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 23 May 2015 Posted 23 May 2015 Impressive from Hamilton, was concerned after Q2 but got it right when it counts
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 Time for the advertising procession tomorrow!
isaidno Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 The atmosphere was really weird at the end. No one could believe what happened. Really enjoyable weekend though , Monaco isn't as expensive as everyone says

Amin Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 The atmosphere was really weird at the end. No one could believe what happened. Really enjoyable weekend though , Monaco isn't as expensive as everyone says Were you on the hilltop at Rascasse/Nogues? It must have been hard to understand without a TV.
Legend_in_blue Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 They need to introduce hosepipes on certain corners from next season. It always promises so much every year, but when there's bright sunshine it's really dull, and it turns out as one of the worst races of the season. Awful finish as well to the race. What a complete mess that was for Hamilton.
isaidno Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 Were you on the hilltop at Rascasse/Nogues? It must have been hard to understand without a TV. Yes . We could see the big screen and hear the commentary . Cost us about £500 each for flights , 7 nights accommodation in Nice and race tickets
ADK Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 Crap race to watch. Even for Monaco it was dull and then Mercedes ensuring the winner was undeserved. Not Rosberg's fault, but didn't feel like the right man won.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Cost Hamilton , but well done to him for not blaming the team ... decisions get made and sometimes they go against you... won't effect him because last year he had far worse luck and came through
Legend_in_blue Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Watched it back again and something I hadn't picked up on at the time was the length of the pitstop itself. A whole second slower than it needed to be. This is more than "a mistake" imo. Certainly looks that way.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Mercedes blatant multiple attempts at costing Hamilton the Championship worked wonders last year :D As if they cost themselves a 1-2 just to let Nico get within a few more points.
Brainy Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Even if they had a gap to pit Hamilton and get him out infront, there was no reason to pit him anyway.
john ridley Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Great finish to the Indy 500, very happy. [/ Saw the last few laps of that , flat out 220mph plus ,brilliant, can't see what people see in F1 , boring races and even more boring drivers .
ADK Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Yeah they drive round in circles for 200 laps and then the last lap is interesting. As oppose to F1 where the start is interesting and then the rest is boring.
john ridley Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Fair point ADK, just seems indy and NASCAR have more going on ,even if they going round in circles, for excitement there's always MOTOGP.
Amin Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 I suppose it depends how much you care about a particular series. I'll watch F1 as long as it exists, no matter how bad it gets. I can fully understand why someone wouldn't be interested in F1, but I love it, even when it's boring and even when I'm moaning about it being boring. Objectively speaking, you could say MotoGP is more exciting than F1 but I'm not as interested in it (although I do like it a lot). It also helps if the strategy side of racing excites you, because then a race can never truly be boring. In the last few years I've been trying to follow more and more series. 5 years a go, all I cared about was F1, MotoGP and BTCC, but now I'm also into WEC, Indycars, DTM and various junior series (GP2, FR3.5, Moto2 etc.). I just enjoy motorsport in general.
isaidno Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 Went to the monte Carlo casino last night at won 175 euros on the roulette wheel
