Brainy Posted 20 June 2015 Posted 20 June 2015 Hamilton could also have gone quicker had he not made a mistake
yorkie1999 Posted 20 June 2015 Posted 20 June 2015 Hamilton was lucky he kept pole after his mistake on the last lap, Rosberg could have beaten him if he didn't mess up on the last corner. On an even bigger note, I can't see Red Bull and Renault coexisting much longer. Their owner has thrown a huge fit with their engines. How else could Red Bull get Renault to cancel their engine supplier contract!
iamafox Posted 20 June 2015 Author Posted 20 June 2015 How else could Red Bull get Renault to cancel their engine supplier contract! One of the two parties would need to quit F1. There were rumours that Renault could buy Toro Rosso and operate as a works team, don't think that will happen though.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 20 June 2015 Posted 20 June 2015 Best bit again was off track. Lewis and Seb clearly having a laugh about Rosberg. Absolute king bottler, should pack it in and give somebody else a go.
Brainy Posted 20 June 2015 Posted 20 June 2015 Not really sure where this bottling thing about Rosberg has come from, Hamilton made the same cock up last year when he was going quicker.
Jimothy Posted 20 June 2015 Posted 20 June 2015 Not really sure where this bottling thing about Rosberg has come from, Hamilton made the same cock up last year when he was going quicker. Rosberg has messed up on two or three occasions in the past year when under a bit of pressure or faced with a situation he should be exploiting. Everyone makes mistakes, but he's just getting a bit of a rep for cocking up at vital moments.
Jimothy Posted 21 June 2015 Posted 21 June 2015 Good start from Rosberg! Big crash with Kimi and Alonso though!
iamafox Posted 21 June 2015 Author Posted 21 June 2015 Booooooooring It really annoyed me when Crofty said the race wasn't boring.
VinceNoir Posted 21 June 2015 Posted 21 June 2015 It really annoyed me when Crofty said the race wasn't boring. Yeah, I can imagine that would be annoying. The Danish commentators were saying stuff along the lines of "Don't go anywhere, things are about to spice up between Maldonado and Verstappen". Commentators desperately trying to hype a battle for seventh ****ing place. That's when you know you're watching an absolute snoozefest.

Commentators desperately trying to hype a battle for seventh ****ing place. That's when you know you're watching an absolute snoozefest. Definitely, the entertainment value has gone completely. And it doesn't help when the same team keeps winning all the time but that doesn't mean I'm jealous about Mercedes. I feel sorry for some of the other drivers who deserve the chance to achieve wins and podiums but don't have cars that are good enough only because one team hogs the podium every race.
Jimothy Posted 21 June 2015 Posted 21 June 2015 A shunt at the start and Hamilton driving over a white line is clearly what classes as an exciting race these days.
isaidno Posted 22 June 2015 Posted 22 June 2015 How long before Alonso throws his toys out of the pram and quits McLaren again ?
The Horse's Mouth Posted 22 June 2015 Posted 22 June 2015 He'll wait until they get their shit together
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 22 June 2015 Posted 22 June 2015 Will they, though? Been 3 years of utter shite now, and if anything they're just going further and further backwards. Makes you wonder where the money is actually going.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 23 June 2015 Posted 23 June 2015 Nah the deal with Honda is a step in the right direction, they would have never been challenging with Mercedes engines. It'll take time though, they're clearly playing the long game and I'd assume Alonso would've known that before penning the deal.
iamafox Posted 27 June 2015 Author Posted 27 June 2015 The thing is though, Alonso has only signed a two year contract. And he's 33 now so time is really against him. If McLaren don't produce a competitive car next season Alonso will walk away.
iamafox Posted 28 June 2015 Author Posted 28 June 2015 Congratulations to Nelson Piquet Jr for winning the inaugural Formula E championship, pipping Buemi by 1 point.
Wymsey Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Much prefer Formula E, seems more competitive and obviously more fuel-efficient. Does fraudster Ecclestone own this championship, as well?
iamafox Posted 28 June 2015 Author Posted 28 June 2015 Much prefer Formula E, seems more competitive and obviously more fuel-efficient. Does fraudster Ecclestone own this championship, as well? Thankfully he doesn't. Basically he's the F1 equivalent of Sepp Blatter, hopefully Ecclestone will follow suit and step down as well.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 29 June 2015 Posted 29 June 2015 Much prefer Formula E, seems more competitive and obviously more fuel-efficient. Does fraudster Ecclestone own this championship, as well? Indeed, there was possibly more excitement in that one race than in F1 for the last few years
Beliall Posted 29 June 2015 Posted 29 June 2015 Thankfully he doesn't. Basically he's the F1 equivalent of Sepp Blatter, hopefully Ecclestone will follow suit and step down as well. That's a bit harsh. Ecclestone built the f1 brand.
