JimmyK Posted 29 March 2015 Posted 29 March 2015 Thank Heavens for that, might actually be an interesting season
Facecloth Posted 29 March 2015 Posted 29 March 2015 Thank Heavens for that, might actually be an interesting season Hmmm part of me kind of feels like Mercedes lost that rather than Ferrari won it. Still expect Mercedes to win most races.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 29 March 2015 Posted 29 March 2015 Ferrari certainly will put up a challenge, but this circuit suited them, the safety car helped too giving Vettel a big lead whilst Rosberg and Hamilton struggled and used up their tyres in traffic ... Hamilton seemed to be relishing a challenge, certainly was full of praise for Vettel and Ferrari.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 29 March 2015 Posted 29 March 2015 might catch the highlights of this, also if Lewis is even defending Rosberg then that should tell you whether he was "cheating". Hope Vettel can keep up the pace but I'm pretty much sure this is just a flash in the pan like those Ricciardo wins were last year
Amin Posted 29 March 2015 Posted 29 March 2015 I think this victory is more than a flash in the pan. Last year, all three of Ricciardo's wins needed either the Mercedes to have mechanical problems, Hamilton and Rosberg to trip over each other or both. Sure, the Mercedes strategy wasn't the best today but they were pressured into making strategy mistakes by the genuinely fast Ferrari. I'm sure Mercedes are still at least 0.5s quicker than Ferrari in normal conditions but on a hot track with high tyre degradation, Ferrari can battle, and beat, Mercedes. It's also clear that Ferrari are very good in the low downforce sectors, so it will be interesting to see how the gap to Mercedes will fluctuate through the next few races.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 29 March 2015 Posted 29 March 2015 Would be great to have another team challenging, miss the days of McLaren and Ferrari battles... both teams had specialised circuits then and maybe we can have that with Ferrari and Mercedes this year...
iamafox Posted 29 March 2015 Author Posted 29 March 2015 Vettel made the right choice in leaving Red Bull imo.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 29 March 2015 Posted 29 March 2015 Vettel made the right choice in leaving Red Bull imo. Alonso made completely the wrong choice yet again... stuck at the back, with a car that can't even finish... Lewis and Vettel have made the right decisions no doubt. Both leaving the teams that made them, to ensure they stayed at the top

Get IN THERE what a result. Ferrari are BACK - what a drive from Sebastian Vettel, the Mercedes weren't even close! Ok, so we'll still expect Mercedes to be ahead in the title race and to win a lot more races than anyone else, but at least it's no longer a total domination. AVANTE! Still think Williams will finish ahead of Ferrari?

Both leaving the teams that made them, to ensure they stayed at the top I think Alonso was very bullish about moving to McLaren but deep down he's regretting it big time and he'll probably want to leave them again!

Both leaving the teams that made them, to ensure they stayed at the top Alonso went McLaren for the future rather than instant results, although is pretty ironic how ferrari finally get their shit together he ****s off YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Wow It's been too long. VinceNoir Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 Dull as fvck this race. Vettel will get a few wins here and there, but Mercedes and Hamilton still totally dominant
foxes_rule1978 Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 ... that was by far the best moment, trying to move the torro Rosso
Amin Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 It was a comfortable win for Hamilton in the end but it was heartening to see the Ferraris stay within around 15 seconds. It's not like last year. It was disappointing to see the safety car ruin the Vettel-Raikkonen battle but Verstappen couldn't do anything about a locked up rear and it's almost impossible to get an F1 car through that gap at that angle.
Raj Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 Guys,is it worth me watching the BBC highlights later???
foxes_rule1978 Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 Rosberg wanting Lewis to help him by pushing harder, shouldn't Rosberg try to overtake Hamilton and push him to go faster what a joke Rosberg is. When Hamilton was asked to meet set times he did, Hamilton is loving this. What is Rosberg going to say next, can Lewis pull over so I can win
foxes_rule1978 Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 So....tell me do I watch the highlights or fook it!!! Not highlight worthy really, everything was just controlled by Hamilton from the off, no one getting close... Vettel didn't really get close to Rosberg either... and the one battle which would have been interesting between kimi and vettel didn't happen because they ended up finishing behind the safety car...
Stinkenzo Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 It was alright. Better than Australia not as good as Malaysia I guess.

Legend_in_blue Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 So....tell me do I watch the highlights or fook it!!! Watch the last 10 minutes or watch these... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=At6eR7w5yI0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNxwumKv_6s I have little time for Rosberg and his attitude. He's stooped to a new lowest level after this one. Cry baby. Pathetic and to make it personal during a press conference was very unprofessional. Vettel looking smug with it all trying not to crack up on the other end there as well. Sour grapes.
