ScouseFox Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 one thing i wanna know is that i watch rugby rarely, maybe about 5 matches and occasional highlights every season (and the world cup cos we won it once), yet i am fully aware that 90% of the time ben youngs is going to pretend to pass it off the back of a ruck (is it a ruck?) then run in that gap between the fat one and the one that doesn't want to tackle him in case his kit gets dirty, then probably either score or get tackled 5 yards out and we'll score after it. why do professional rugby teams not know this, or more ideally, try and stop it? or is he just sick like messi an you can't stop it even if you wanna?
Finnegan Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 His acceleration over five or six yards is just immense. That's a bit like saying people always know Shane Williams was going to do a step and go or Jonah Lomu was going to run straight at you. When someone has a strength that pronounced it's a bit hard to stop. Youngs isn't the best scrum half in the world, he's not even the best in this tournament. But in that situation he's excellent. Silly fast.
ScouseFox Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 yeah but can't you just always make sure there's not a gap? or he's "marked" by someone who's also pretty quick? some of the gaps and the people he's running past whenever i see him he doesn't even need to be quick to get past, or clever to get through. there's like 5 yard gaps and the nearest man to him is a prop with the turning circle of a fvcking cruiseliner. is rugby always this fun? swear there's usually like two tries a game, been thousands today. also what a retarded thing to get sin binned for.
Finnegan Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 This is one of the best days of the six nations in a long time to be fair. Has been ****ing great, Scotland aside. Everyone just going for it. Could never have happened if all games played together, think they've made that point now.
Nalis Posted 21 March 2015 Author Posted 21 March 2015 This is one of the best days of the six nations in a long time to be fair. Has been ****ing great, Scotland and Italy aside. Everyone just going for it. Could never have happened if all games played together, think they've made that point now. Fixed. But yes, I agree it has been one of the best 6 Nations days ever no matter how the England game finishes.
Finnegan Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 I'm obviously biased but I think we were better than Ireland today and Italy were better than Scotland. Scotland were absolutely dire. Italy weren't great but some of our tries were absolutely majestic.
Mike Oxlong Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Proper feast of running rugby today. Great stuff.
Finnegan Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Literally more highlights from today than the rest of this tournament plus last year's combined. Ridiculous.
srbfox Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 How many do England need to win by? I know nothing about rugby
Guest Bilo Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 How many do England need to win by? I know nothing about rugby 26 points, we're currently winning by 13.
Guest Bilo Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 That's not gonna happen is it?! More chance of us staying up.
Finnegan Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 If England score off this possession then literally who knows? Today has been so mental that it's possible. I'd imagine they'll beat our points total but just fall short of Ireland, personally, but I've given up predicting.
Finnegan Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 90 point game . Absolutely stupid. This is like something out of Super Rugby.
Finnegan Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Seriously though, anyone who's enjoyed today should start following one of the New Zealand franchises in Super Rugby. Hurricanes and Chiefs games are like this every week.
Nalis Posted 21 March 2015 Author Posted 21 March 2015 One converted try to get. My ****ing nerves are shot..
ealingfox Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Just turned on. Can't believe we play that try music Literally the hallmark of a tin pot club in football.
Finnegan Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Is it on sky sports or something? Er it's on the BEEB? It's the six nations?
