Grewks Posted 8 March 2015 Posted 8 March 2015 Watching the Villa game yesterday, just shows how this wouldn't make a difference whatsoever. The holte end and away end at villa park is almost identical to the Kop and away end at the KP. Of course, you can't get a fair representation of in-ground atmosphere on the T.V. But you can certainly see the number of fans involved in singing and chanting, and its far greater than anything we have in the kop. Although, in fairness, just a handful of villa fans would have been more. We cannot use the excuse that 'it was a big game', as every game for us should of been this season. Or the fact the villa were poor against us. After all. Villa are having a far worse season than us.
Unabomber Posted 8 March 2015 Posted 8 March 2015 Might as well swap the east and west stands too while we are at it.
SomalianFox15 Posted 8 March 2015 Posted 8 March 2015 What point are you trying to make? You title the thread 'swap the kop and the family stand' but then just talk about how great villa fans are.
Strokes Posted 8 March 2015 Posted 8 March 2015 Might as well swap the east and west stands too while we are at it.What should we do with all the corners though?

Holte end / Kop are in the exact same positions in comparison to the away end. Last night Villa made of an atmosphere than we did during the 5-3 against united. Atmosphere in relation to stand placement is irrelevant. If fans want to get involved, they will do it in whatever stand.
Walshy5 Posted 8 March 2015 Posted 8 March 2015 Interesting point you make. I'm surprised this has never been discussed before.
Grewks Posted 8 March 2015 Author Posted 8 March 2015 Interesting point you make. I'm surprised this has never been discussed before. If you actually read the OP you will find that there hasn't been much discussion on why swapping the family stand and Kop would be pointless.

SomalianFox15 Posted 8 March 2015 Posted 8 March 2015 It would be great if the whole of the kop stood up and chanted as it's only really SK1 at the moment and apparently you can't here us from other parts of the ground
Unabomber Posted 8 March 2015 Posted 8 March 2015 What should we do with all the corners though? You never move the corners.
Strokes Posted 8 March 2015 Posted 8 March 2015 You never move the corners.Would be expensive, I suppose.
Unabomber Posted 8 March 2015 Posted 8 March 2015 Would be expensive, I suppose. Yeah and dangerous, and the people who sit in the corners don't wanna be messed about. They are the kind of people who go out of their way to avoid people and want to be left alone in their corner.

Claridge Posted 8 March 2015 Posted 8 March 2015 You never move the corners. Wish James was removed from corners

Soar Fox Posted 8 March 2015 Posted 8 March 2015 Wot lol Semi final of the Fa Cup and 3 points clear of relegation. Whilst we are rooted to the bottom of the league cut adrift. I wish we were having a bad a season as them.

Ashley Posted 8 March 2015 Posted 8 March 2015 It should be moved yes when the ground was first designed they ****ed up in terms of were they placed the kop.. To be fair when they have all these fun day things around the ground the back of the kop would be the perfect place for such happenings but then again this topic has been discussed numerous times on here before and LCFC won't swap the ends around.

The reason fans want it to be moved to improve atmosphere. But Villa park proved yesterday that stand placement is irrelevant to atmosphere.
Stevosevic Posted 8 March 2015 Posted 8 March 2015 Villa Park has been a morgue all season, it's been commented in every game they play how quiet it is. They had a good 45 minutes
lifted*fox Posted 8 March 2015 Posted 8 March 2015 swap the seating areas with the concourse. put all the food vendors where the seats are and put the fans in the concourse. that way, when everyone goes to get their pies at 35 minutes, the ground will actually get busier. or something.
RonnieTodger Posted 8 March 2015 Posted 8 March 2015 Realistically they are. compared to expectation, of course they are. Did you expect us to stay up or at least make a fight of it? I did. Villa fans knew Learner wasn't going to spend money and I can't imagine they would've hoped for a trip to Wembley.

It took this squad 12 months to learn how to win in the championship.

Tbf we make more noise in the concourse anyway
