Phube Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 One of the many things that's annoying me at the moment is the lack of time Kram and Ulloa (our highest scorer and record signing) have had to form any sort of partnership: 173 mins (out of a possible 810)! 4 games together out of 9 . These are: 19 mins - Stoke (H) - Already 1-0 down 73 mins - Spurs (A) 62 mins - Man U (A) 19 mins - Palace (H) - Already 1-0 down I'm not saying it would have solved all our problems, but it just doesn't make sense to me why they haven't been given a fair crack? Are they just shambolic in training together (á la Albrighton)?
lcfcsnow Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Too slow a combination to work. Saying that Ulloa struggles to form any partnership with anyone due lack of movement and inability to control a ball.
Raj Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Too slow a combination to work. Saying that Ulloa struggles to form any partnership with anyone due lack of movement and inability to control a ball. He's a goalsscorer who thrives on wingers giving him the ball...he's not had that since Man u.
MooseBreath Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Imagine spending £17m on strikers without even thinking how they fit into the team. I wouldn't even do that on football manager.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Need a win, barely ever score at home, what do we do..... play five at the back and leave 8m of striker on bemch

RedSoxUK Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Ulloa's recent performances have been terrible to be honest. I think that, matched with Kramaric being unable to work with somebody who can't control the ball or pass, leaves the attack open to opposition defenders, Kram on his own, Kram + Vardy, Kram + Nuge has looked a hell of a lot better than Ulloa with anyone or on his own since Kramaric's arrival.

My point of the thread though is that they haven't had any time to even make a judgement on them.
chapero82 Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Ulloa is never in box when the crosses are going in, today te was outside the box again waiting for a pass get in the box FFS
RedSoxUK Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 My point of the thread though is that they haven't had any time to even make a judgement on them. I would put this down to training, and the change in formation. At the minute, I wouldn't have Ulloa anywhere near the 11. If we were to play 4 - 4 - 2, I think Pearson would still go for Kram + Nuge or Kram + Vardy. Ulloa's just been ineffective and not influential in the games he's played as an individual and for the team. For that, you can't have him partner with Kramaric, and you can't put them together to evaluate their partnership, when everything points towards it not working. Same reason Danny Drinkwater's found himself on the bench. If it were the Championship, Ulloa and Kram to me, still wouldn't be the way to go with Vardy and Nugent proven to cause damage.

I.e play to his strengths...its not rocket science

Maybe just try... you know put Albrighton on to cross, Kram and Ulloa up front against a team we have a chance against...
Nalis Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 And another game goes by... We were never going to play the two away to Spurs but yeah at home I've never understood why we don't play them together.
the messenger Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Crap formation again Numpty Pearson But we live in hope!
Phube Posted 21 March 2015 Author Posted 21 March 2015 I can see it happening! 65 mins: Ulloa off, Kram on.
Mark Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 I can see it happening! 65 mins: Ulloa off, Kram on. I was hoping it would be at half time.
scinnell Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 and what have they done together in those minutes?
scinnell Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Price tags do not determine all team line ups. If they did Torres will still be spear heading Chelsea's first team.
Phube Posted 21 March 2015 Author Posted 21 March 2015 and what have they done together in those minutes? As mentioned. Spurs and Man U AWAY and already 1-0 down and chasing the other two!
