  1. I mean the whole list could be Half Man Half Biscuit tbf. God's Footballer is such a ****ing dirge. Can't believe @Bellend Sebastian isn't bemoaning the absence of Another Sunny Day.
  2. I feel this was pretty inevitable before they even won and probably would be whoever was PM, in fairness. The own goal was whoever at Labour HQ decided the campaign message in the last election should be that Labour would fix the economy at all let alone within weeks of them taking office. They were getting in with a sizeable majority anyway because the country was just rightfully fed up of Boris and his cabinet of corrupt and incompetent Brexiteer yes-men that had ****ed the country on Leave and COVID. Labour didn't need to and shouldn't have really said much other than "we're not them." But they made unrealistic promises to fix pretty much everything and gave the opposition all the ammunition they've needed for pretty much Starmer's whole term to date. Not that I particularly think he's a sensational PM but I do think he'd have looked a lot better with much different expectations. The country is ****ed, it'll take generations to fix, nobody is doing it overnight.
  3. The book value loss in year doesn't really matter in the same way this year. Buying a player for £15m, getting almost no play time out of him and selling him for £3m is all round terrible, mind.
  4. It'll be the opposite. I know everyone wants it to have sell on fees and other bonuses that match his perceived potential. But the club will be desperate to generate as much money now as possible. It'll be hugely front loaded towards the biggest fee we can get now.
  5. And his traitor mate Stephen.
  6. Oh god I absolutely don't think he's going to be amazing and solve all our problems. I wouldn't even describe myself as cautiously optimistic anymore. I just think even a club with as poor footballing intelligence as us must surely now realise Martin is shit.
  7. Memes aside, you'd perhaps hope that the fact he does have that background means he views Martin as the joke he is. I kinda agree with Ric, it wouldn't surprise me if we haven't even really approached him.
  8. Remember lads, Wymsey is ITK
  9. I'm honest enough to admit I'm jealous of that.
  10. Savescumming coward.
  11. Wait, wtf, Spiderman!?
  12. Congratulations, you're Chelsea.
  13. I love 8. It's my favourite, I love the story and I think it's hilarious how easily you can break the gameplay with the junction system... But I do hesitate a bit when recommending it to people because I don't disagree that compared to materia or the the sphere grid it just isn't great.
  14. @shen the FF7 remakes are fun and all but they're definitely not FF7. There's some similarity in the story but it's very, very much a different game. FF8 is mechanically mixed, mostly hilariously awful but I think the story, music and vibe are pretty much peak Final Fantasy for me. I think a gamer trying the series for the first time in 2026, you want to play something from 6 to 10 because they're the peak of the series. But the others might feel a bit dated or (in the case of 8) I'm honest enough to admit that when you put nostalgia aside, the mechanics aren't great. So X is the best compromise. It's a decent story, solid gameplay, it looked great at the time and is going to stand up the most out of all the others. If you genuinely give 0 ****s at all about graphics, start with 7. Edit: oh and 8 has the best mini game of all time in any game.
  15. This is just why I wouldn't have gone back to "rock and roll football". It might be more entertaining to watch but I actually don't think we've moved on from the era of control football being the best way to win the Premier League. There's a reason Klopp's head to head record over a full 38 game season is terrible against Pep.
